Our home away from home...

Well, we officially moved out of our home and INTO our new home away from home! We're staying at my Aunt Sue and Uncle Lloyd's condo which is a quaint little place with probably 1,200 sq. ft. and two bedrooms, two baths. It's close to the beach so it's like being on vacation. It's kind of fun! We've found a home for all of our belongings and I've read and reread the "Guests Manual", that my aunt so diligently created to make guests' time at the condo the most enjoyable!! Thank you Aunt Sue and Uncle Lloyd for relinquishing your condo to us and allowing us to set up camp. We are SO SO SO appreciative. We love you!

My amazing Mama came over for a couple hours yesterday and helped me unload the car and get situated (John was working). After she left I plopped myself on the couch (I could feel my body just mold itself into the cushions on the couch... oh for the love of gravity and being horizontal) and I looked up to see THIS on the tree outside the window! An iguana????? How cool is that? So I jumped up (who am I kidding, there is no "jumping" these days... I hurdled my legs up and then down again to get some momentum and hoped my upper body would follow) and grabbed the camera and snapped away!! Who knew these little creatures lived so close by!! It was there again this morning when we got up, so it must live nearby!!

And I spotted a pretty butterfly too....

As much as I've been complaining about the heat lately (but seriously people, it's like 100 degrees heat index outside and absolutely NO breeze, AND I'm 8 months pregnant) we really do live in paradise down here and I wouldn't change it for the world. For the last week we've been packing/moving and I've felt extraordinarily guilty for the lack of "fun" things we've done with Adrey. Usually the days I'm home with him and in the evenings, we go to the park or the pool or something fun, but this week we've been so busy we haven't been able to do that. So yesterday after his nap (which he napped in his pack-n-play at the condo and went down with NO problems whatsoever) we went to the pool (which is literally right outside our front door) and swam with Aunt Sarah, Katelyn and Allison.

And this was Daddy and Adrey this morning cuddling...

And Adrey likes to push Daddy's cheeks because when he does, Daddy makes a really funny noise.

Now that we've moved out of the house and are in our new digs I'm totally not feeling any stress at all. I think I was just so overwhelmed before not knowing where to start or what to do. Now that things are moving right along, I'm able to sigh a sigh of relief. We have chosen our new floors (that was a big decision... deciding on the flooring itself and then trying to decide which company to use) and we now have somewhat of a timeline to go by. Our wood floors are being pulled up next week, and then the following week, our new floors (porcelain) will be installed. Then I guess the baseboards and painting and then lastly the kitchen cabinets.

The baby is moving A LOT today... a nice reminder that in just 4 short weeks we'll be holding him/her in our arms. So exciting!!
