Home Improvement

Well, we've been keeping close tabs on our home, visiting it every few days, and speaking with the contractor daily. This is what our home looked like as of LAST Friday...

Awwww, our poor hard wood... This hard wood was just installed in our home less than 3 years ago:-( What a waste of material, time and money...

This literally took my breath away when I walked in the front doors. To see our HOME in total disarray just broke my heart. I almost broke down in tears.

And when I walked into Adrey's room I had a knot in my throat. We JUST finished perfecting his big brother room so he'd feel extra special since he's taking on the new role and big responsibility of being a "big brother" to someone. And to see it like this made me a little weepy. (pictures are a little dark because they were taken with my cell phone)

Charlie or Lola's room....

Yowsas...

The ONLY thing that was in still tact at our home was the EASTER wreaths still hanging on our front door! LOL! Guess it's time to take THOSE down...

But THIS is what our home looked like as of yesterday afternoon!! They're not quite done with the floors, but they're coming along nicely! We're told they should be done with them TODAY!

Yes, that's a toilet in Adrey's room. Could be quite convenient when we start tackling the potty-training, actually!!

Next week I imagine they will begin reinstalling the baseboards and repainting. I'm told the kitchen is another 5 weeks out... at best. Thankfully we've settled right into our new home and are enjoying it. We are SO VERY GRATEFUL to our Aunt Sue and Uncle Lloyd. I honestly can't thank them enough. I have NO idea what we'd be doing otherwise. It's been a perfect home away from home.

You went with tile; nice! I know it looks like total chaos now but when it's all done you will have an almost brand new beautiful home! Can't wait to see it when it's all done. Hang in there Leah. xoxo
