Car overload and mock nursery

So, Adrey's dear friend Billy has outgrown his matchbox cars (sorry Jen, don't cry reading this!!) and has so very generously left them to Adrey. Jen gave them to us a couple weeks ago and my plan was not to unveil them until we got back home, but we had to clear out the back of my car to get the baby stuff from the house, so the cars made it into the condo and it was only a matter of MINUTES before Adrey spotted them and seriously couldn't WAIT for the box to be opened. Adrey LOVES cars... anything transportation related actually. He saw the boxes and did his famous point-and-suck-in-air-as-if-completely-shocked bit so I HAD to let the little munchkin see the cars in all their glory. You'd think he struck gold by his reaction. We sat there for nearly an hour as he, one by one, took out each car. The excitement escalated as each car was drawn. It was heart-warming to watch. SO CUTE!!
I have a feeling that you will be finding matchbox cars, Aunt Sue, for years to come! LOL!! We'll do our best to locate them all before we move out!!

Just taking it all in here...

Mom and I went to the house on Friday and dug through our garage (because our garage is FULL of all the furniture from our house) to get all the baby stuff we're going to need here in the coming weeks. We got car seats, bathtubs, swing, diapers, clothes, blankets, etc... the whole kit and kaboodle. I had already washed all the baby clothes, blankets, etc., but they've been in the garage for three weeks, so I spent Saturday rewashing everything so it's nice and fresh for our new addition! Today the three of us ran a few last minute baby errands to tie up a few loose ends. During Adrey's nap we put together the baby's "nursery". This is when it REALLY hit me that the baby is SO close to being in our arms... gave me excited butterflies in my stomach! I keep going back to this space and looking at it. We are so excited to meet our littlest munchkin!

Aunt Sue, you wouldn't recognize your condo right now as we've rearranged what seems like EVERYTHING to accommodate a family of FOUR (oh my gosh I can't believe I'm saying that!!) but we're taking VERY good care of everything! It will be put right back the way we found it when it's time for us to leave! Again, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for letting us stay here!! We love you!
