Happy Birthday Billy!

So I'm quickly realizing that NOT being at our home has allowed me a lot more "free time" during Adrey's naps and when he goes to bed. Typically when Adrey naps, it's like a gun goes off and the race begins to get AS MUCH stuff on my "around-the-house-to-do-list" done! Now that I'm not at home and I can't do all the usual things I do at home, I'm finding myself doing more of what I SHOULD be doing at 8.5 months pregnant, which is relaxing! I'm updating the blog more frequently, which I love doing, and I'm actually NAPPING!! I honestly can't recall the last time I took a NAP!!

Friday Adrey and I went to the water park with Jen, Billy, Joanne and Miah Jane. We all had such a great time and Adrey had a BLAST!!! It was such a fun day for him. We spent THREE hours there and he enjoyed every bit of it. It was one of those days that just gave me warm and fuzzies and I didn't want it to end. Adrey is just SO yummy. I got home, gave Adrey a bath and he went down for a nap and I couldn't wait to call John to tell him what a great Mommy/Adrey day we had! Big sigh....

We had a GREAT, GREAT, GREAT family day yesterday too! It started out with a trip to the 3rd Street Farmer's Market at 8:30. I've always wanted to check it out, so we mosied over there and walked around for a bit. Then we headed to the park to play... came across a TOAD the size of my fist which Adrey had a ball with! After the park, Daddy and Adrey headed to the pool while Mommy got a pedicure and ran a couple errands. And then after Adrey's nap we went to...

BILLY'S BIRTHDAY PARTY at BEACON BOWL!!

Yup, Billy is turning 12 years old!

All of the kids had a "ball"!!

So funny (and age appropriate) how the boys and girls bowled in separate lanes!!!

Even Adrey bowled.

And then we brought out this apparatus that basically bowls for you. And this just sealed the deal for Adrey. HE. LOVED. IT. Honestly, I think he'd still be bowling now if we'd have let him!! He was having so much fun!! Daddy taught him how to use it....

And he enjoyed sliding down the ball return, or whatever that thing is called! Probably not an event highly regarded by the bowling staff. Speaking of bowling staff.... I used to be on a bowling league when I was in 5th grade... the woman that managed the place 23 years ago STILL WORKS THERE!

Awwww... such good buddies. Adrey adores Billy and Billy is so good with A-man.

Was such a fun event!! And believe it or not, after the bowling event we came home and went swimming again! Adrey was still on a sugar high from the bowling event so he still had a little extra steam to blow off!! He's loving the pool these days and I love that!! And he's sporting quite the farmers tan these days... Summer is HERE!!
