I have been chompin' at the bit to get these photos posted on the blog! Heidi met us on April 10th to take photos of the boys. I can't accurately express how much I LOVE these pictures. They are everything I imagined and so much more. Thank you Heidi Darwish (www.heididarwishphotography.com) for capturing these amazing images of our babies. Although if Adrey could read, and read that, he would say, "No Mama, Cha-she a baby, Adrey a BIG BOY!"
It's time. Here we go. Drumroll please....

We are heading to Mexico here in a few days and Adrey is SO excited about flying on the airplane. It's all he talks about. Yesterday morning he was starting to wake up (he had slept with us so he was in our bed:-)... he hadn't even opened his eyes yet... he stretched his arms and legs as straight as they could go (still without opening his eyes) and says, "Mama, goin' on an airplane today?"
Cutest. Thing. Ever.
Charlie is officially clapping and it's oh.so.cute.
He's also on the go, crawling like a champ.
The other night, Adrey was MORE THAN WOUND UP when it was time to start calming down before bed. He was wired like a light bulb. I told him that if he didn't calm down he was going to go to bed. After several "threats" he still didn't calm down. Finally I said, "Adrey, ok, it's time to go to bed now." and Adrey replied, "No mama, it's time for YOU to go to bed!" It took everything I had not to laugh!
Um, yeah, loving this one...
Would you ever think in a million years they would make CUT OFF jean shorts for a 9 month old? I don't ever want him to grow out of them. I know it's inevitable, so when it happens, I may just have to frame them in a shadow box or something. Seriously. Not even kidding. I love them that much. And his little pointed toes in this picture? Just shoot me I can't handle the cuteness.
"Huh?" says Charlie...
My absolute favorite of the day....
So as I mentioned, we're headed to Mexico soon. John and I didn't know that the boys had to have passports (we thought birth certificates would work for them) but they do. Given when we're leaving, we didn't have enough time to order them at the local government office, the way normal, organized people do. SO, the four of us had to drive to Miami on Tuesday and go to the official U.S. passport agency. Um, holy nightmare. We left at 7:30 since our appointment was at 9:30. We took one lousy wrong turn (I guess that's all it takes) and got completely lost and didn't end up arriving until 10:00. John dropped me and Charlie off curbside so that he could park. I walked up to the door and the sign said PASSPORT AGENCY THIS WAY with a big arrow pointing right. So I followed the arrow around the corner, only to find another sign that said PASSPORT AGENCY THIS WAY with a big arrow pointing a different direction. There were like 12 of these stupid signs and I ended up walking like 4 blocks from where the original place was supposed to be. And I'm with Charlie in an area I know nothing about. Not a comfortable situation. It ended up being in an invisible building underground. Not really, but it was the hardest freaking place to find. We got inside and got our ticket stub (like you get at the deli at the grocery store) and we were number 103. And they were "Now Serving 68". Awesome. The place resembled that of a DMV and the "clientele" in the place resemebled the same. It was a small room surrounded with police officers. Adrey and I spent much of the time doing laps. Adrey would stop every now and again in front of a stranger and say, "Hey, what's your name?" and we'd chat for a moment and move on. We met a Nelson, a John and a hispanic man whose name I couldn't catch. We also had a "run in" with a police officer. And by "we" I mean "John". John was reprimanded by one unhappy policeman who told him, "If you don't turn that cell phone off, you will be out of here so quick." Alrighty then. Our number was finally called and it took all of 5 minutes for the paperwork to be processed. The very nice woman says, "Ok, your passports will be ready for pickup at 2:00". It's now 11:30 so we had 2.5 hours to kill. I had no idea we would get them the same day so I had not prepared ourselves to be gone all day. We ended up driving to South Beach. We pulled over at the first playground we spotted and that's where we hung out for 2.5 hours. John went and grabbed some lunch while I played with the boys. After about 20 minutes, Adrey spotted some sprinklers and wanted to play in them. I thought, what the heck, I don't know a single soul here, so I stripped Adrey down to his diaper and he ran in the sprinklers. Two minutes later he walked over to me and a fire ant bit him and it was all down hill from there. He was so upset and I felt so bad for him. He kept scolding the ant. And then every ant there after was promptly squashed by Adrey's shoe. John came walking back with a pizza box, two beers and a fruit drink for Adrey (which Adrey immdediately dropped and then whined for the next 20 minutes that he wanted another one). All the while Charlie is in his stroller and I'm feeding him lunch. Twice Charlie sneezed with food in his mouth, so by this point I'm hot, sweaty and I'm covered in specs of "Chicken and Wild Rice". But I had a beer. And I was happy. Needless to say it was one thing after another, but when it was all said and done, John and I both commented on what a great day it was spending it just the four of us! Made for a great story!!
