Someone turned 3 on Saturday.
Someone very special to us who stands about 3 feet tall, who says "I love you" unsolicited ALL. THE. TIME. and is obsessed with bubble gum. Yes, you guessed it... A-MAN. He woke up somewhat on the wrong side of the bed, but it didn't take long to figure out that when you're in a pleasant mood and treating people nicely the faster you get to open presents!!
(First few photos all taken from cell phone so poor quality)
His "big" present was the last one he opened. And boy was he surprised and happy. I love watching his expression when he's see what it is and hearing the GASP for air he takes.
Like Forrest Gump is to running, Adrey is to biking. He eats, sleeps and drinks his new bike. He woke up this morning, went right to his closet put on his sneakers and said "I wanna ride my bike"! We've been riding to the playground (about a 3/4 mile from our home) each evening and he totally loves it! It's so much fun! He had a tricycle before, but he never made it very far on that!
Back to the celebrations... Adrey's birthday is the 23rd, Allison's birthday is the 28th, and my Grandma's wonderful caretaker (who has become family) her birthday is the 25th, so we celebrated these three amazing people in one night.
Adrey was NOT all about having his photo taken that night (lack of a nap may have played a role in that), so unfortunately, I have none of him to share!! But Charlie was....
Pretend Adrey is on the other side of Stacia. That was the shot I was REALLY hoping for!
Was a fun night! Can't believe we have been blessed with THREE years of Adrey already. Time has flown by. Adrey is a chatterbox and hearing his voice is the cutest thing ever. This week I was telling Adrey what his middle name is. I said, "Adrey Lewis Ritchey" and he would say, "Adrey Wewis Ritchey". Cutest. Thing. Ever. When we were done talking about names we started playing with Legos and I pointed to a Lego and said, "What's that called?" (because was always just say let's build a tower and I wasn't sure if I ever called them "Legos") and he said, "What?" and I said, "That's a Lego" and Adrey said "Lego Ritchey?".
Yes. Lego Ritchey.
Thank you, Adrey, for being you.
Mommy and Daddly love you with all our hearts.
