I was so excited when I remembered there was a parade on the 4th of July! I love parades. I never really thought too much of them until we had children and now seeing how excited Adrey gets when he sees the fire trucks and horses, they're something I really look forward to now!! So the Ritcheys and the Waynes (minus Kerry) saddled up (pun intended) and headed downtown to watch the parade with friends!
Adrey had a piece of candy in his mouth at all times.... most of which he just licked or sucked on for a second or two and then spit out and went on to the next piece!
During the parade Adrey had to go potty. There was absolutely NOWHERE I could take him so we snuck around the side of one of the apartment buildings and he had his first official "tinkle in the woods" (and by "woods" I mean next to a million dollar condo... LOL!) experience.
Rosa and Dylan joined us too!
Charlie and Daddy spent most of the parade in the shade a few feet back. It was, oh, 150 degrees outside.
The whole gang...
I love this next picture. One of the "floats" (I put that in quotations because the floats were pretty lousy this year so I use the term loosely!) was passing out popcicles (Or as Adrey calls them "Pockissles").
Was a fun 4th of July! I'm proud and blessed to say I'm an American. God Bless the USA!!
