Haircuts and Birthdays...

Both the boys got a hair cut last week.  It was Charlie's first hair cut and he did great!!  He was quite curious as to what Liz was doing and kept grabbing for the comb, but at least he was a happy camper (unlike his big brother's first hair cut which went over like a turd in a punch bowl)!!

And it only took 3 years and 4 hairdressers, but Adrey finally doesn't mind getting his hair cut!  I think it's a good combination of him being a little older (and so much more mature...ha ha ha) and the nice hairdresser we found.  As a matter of fact while he was getting his hair cut, every now and again Adrey would get a glimpse of himself in the mirror and say, "Hey Mama, I wook cute!"

And after his hair cut he got a "fag cookie".... yes, a nice chocolate chip cookie iced with an American FLAG!!

And we had very good reason to celebrate on Friday.  Our sweet baby boy Charlie turned one.  I can't believe a year has gone by since he was born.  Unbelievable.  When I was pregnant with Charlie I remember thinking how could I ever love another baby as much as I love Adrey?  The moment Charlie was born I understood.  He was ours and I was holding him and I felt so much love.  The same exact, intense love I felt when I first held Adrey.  Charlie has brought us so much joy.  His personality is so yummy... just happy to be here as we always say.  And on Friday he turned the big 1.0.  We went to the zoo during the day and when Daddy got home from work we went out to dinner and came home and did cake and presents.  First time he'd had cake and I think he liked it... although you can't tell by this next picture!!  LOL!

Charlie, thank you for an amazing first year.  You are such a blessing.  You have made me so happy and I love you with all my heart.  Please take your time growing up... Mama loves you.
