Charlie's One-Year Well Visit

Charlie had his 1 year (GULP) well visit last week and passed with flying colors!  Charlie now weighs a whopping 20 pounds, 7 ounces (in the wee little 10th percentile) and is 29.75 inches long (50th percentile).  He was SUCH a ham for the doctor.  The doctor came in and Charlie would look at him and smile from ear to ear, and then turn away, and then slowly resume eye contact with him and smile from ear to ear...!  This happened 4 or 5 times!  Charlie wanted nothing to do with sitting on my lap with the interesting doctor 3 feet away.  He was so squirmy so I set him on the floor.  He crawled right over to Dr. Vedder, used Dr. Vedder's pant leg to pull himself up and then he just stood there and stared at him!  The doctor commented on how affectionate he is.  He IS so affectionate and we eat that right up!  This photo was actually taken (with my cell phone) in the doctor's office when we were waiting to be seen!

Charlie crawls as fast as lightening these days.  You hardly see him pass by you when he's on a mission.  Ok, I might be exaggerating a little bit, but he IS fast!  And he now will stand up in the middle of the room by himself with no support.  As soon as he realizes he's not holding on to anyone or anything though, his butt drops to the floor!

I love jammied babies with "morning hair".
So yummy.

Adrey's birthday post to come soon.  Still trying to get a FLIP video of him opening his "big" present to post.  Stay tuned.
