Thanksgiving 2010

We had such a wonderful Thanksgiving.  It was a BEAUTIFUL day.  We started out our morning participating in the annual Turkey Trot... a 4 mile walk/run (to benefit St. Matthew's House) down by the beach.

We put on our turkey hats and were on our way...

The boys were secured tightly in their new ride (which I love ohhhhh so much!) and Adrey was equipped with snacks, milk and ducky, of course.

John was a cooked turkey this year and I was the live one!  My cute little designer sunglasses don't have the same effect with a turkey plopped on my head!  LOL!

There had to be a record number of people in attendance this year... it was packed!

Chris and Rochelle being two of them!

And Cary Lu too!  And she wore our other turkey hat... which hers hadn't had its morning V8 yet cuz he was really lopsided!

And Boppa and the girls came too and waited for all of us at the finish line!  Kerry, Sarah and John ran and Cary, the boys and I walked!  Kerry won a medal... he was one of the first 50 to finish!  Speaking of Kerry... he's training to run a FULL MARATHON in January at Disney World!  We'll be there to cheer him on!

After the race, we "raced" home so I could bake my banana bread and make dessert.  And this is the dessert I created... I'm very proud of it.  It wasn't my idea, but I still feel all Martha Stewart like.  And I only had three casualties... a few heads managed to slide off!

We spent the day at my parent's house.  It was such a relaxing day surrounded by all the people I love.  No events planned, just good conversation and baby watching.  Sarah and the girls created the name badges for the table... so cute!

It was so nice outside so we sat on the porch for a while and watched the kids play outside.  Nana got some good lovin' time with Charlie.  I am so BLESSED to be able to witness my 93 year old grandma hold my second child.  It makes me teary just thinking about.  My Grandma is SO dear to my heart and to see the happiness on her face when she holds her newest grandbaby melts my heart.  Eight months ago, my grandma said outloud that she didn't think she'd be here to meet Charlie.  Well, here we are...

And look at the outfit Charlie sported on Thanksgiving Day.  I couldn't WAIT to break out this beauty of a onesie!!  My best friend, Lesa, her mom sent it to Charlie.  And it is my FAVORITE onesie EVER!!  He wears it well, too, I must admit:-)

Oh... and the BUTT... gobble gobble...

I have SO MANY THINGS TO BE THANKFUL for this year, but I'm especially thankful for the safe arrival of our healthy and HAPPY Charlie!  This little 14 pound critter has brought us so much joy.  My heart oozes with love for this little guy AND his big brother.

Oh, the things we do to our defenseless little ones...

The kids had a blast playing with each other.  I love witnessing Adrey do things that I think are meant for older children.... like sitting at the computer with his big cousin playing a game.  Seems like such a "grown up" thing for him to be doing.  He's growing up right before my eyes and there's nothing I can do to stop it.  So instead, I sit back and watch and enjoy the ride.

I am thankful for so many things this year, but MOSTLY for my beautiful family.  My boys, all three of them, are my sole purpose in life and I love them more than words could ever begin to describe.  Charlie and Adrey make my heart all flitter-fluttery and I just have to pinch myself sometimes to be sure they're really here... And really mine.  And they are.  And I love that.

And Christmas is JUST around the corner... I can't believe it!  We got our first picture in front of a Christmas tree at the Rockettes performance at the Barbara B. Mann in Ft. Myers...

LOVE THIS PICTURE!!
