Christmas Parade...

Last night we BUNDLED up and headed downtown to watch the annual Christmas parade!  We had a super cold spell ("super cold" has a whole different meaning in Naples... but it was cold for us!) and the temps were in the 40's!  Adrey wanted nothing to do with the stroller, rather he wanted to push his toy truck... so we "trucked" it down 3rd Street and plopped ourselves on the side of the road!  There were some really great floats and decorated vehicles.  My favorite of the evening?  Hands down, the beautifully lit "woo woo"!!

 

 We had no idea if Adrey was going to LOVE the parade or HATE the parade.  Turns out he LOVED it!!  He was fascinated by the whole thing!  He couldn't stop pointing at all the trucks and boats and bands going by.  And he ate his first box of NERDS too... that in-and-of-itself made it a good night!

 And sweet Charlie was bundled up like a mummy and snug as a bug in a rug in his little car seat.  After about 20 minutes he joined in on the fun himself!

We cheered extra loud for the Barron Collier High School band!!  Go COUGARS!!

Mr. Pointy Pointerson... this is what he was doing all night!  Watching him made me so happy!  I love seeing him so excited!



Tonight I've been addressing Christmas cards... and I did it this year with a sleeping toddler next to me in bed.  I kept looking over at him, watching him sleep with his pacifier half hanging out of his mouth and his ducky's tag still gripped between his index finger and thumb.  I had a "moment".  One of those moments that you want to be sure it's real.  And I found myself just staring at him and getting this overwhelming rush of emotion... one that just made me want to squeeze him silly.  I love when that happens... and it happens often.  Lovin' that!!!
