Christmas Day

So, guess who was the first Ritchey up on Christmas morning?  Me.  I was up at 5:45 and ready to start the day.  I was showered and had my pajamas back on all by 6:15.  Then I played the waiting game for John and the munchkins to wake up!!  And when Adrey did finally start to rustle at 6:30, we went in to get him only to find he had woken up on the "wrong side of the crib".  Grrrrrrr.  I had turned on all the lights in the house so that when he came out of his room he could see all the presents.... so I had John stay in the room with Adrey and I went back and turned them all OFF again so that when we walked through the house into our bedroom Adrey wouldn't be able to see all the presents... I wanted him HAPPY when he saw the presents and not a GRUMP!!  And he cooperated very nicely.  A nice lounging session in Mommy and Daddy's bed was just what the doctor ordered.  By 7:00 he was happy and ready to start his day!  We started with stockings in the bed and then moved out into the family room... when he saw all the presents under the tree he was so JOYFUL!  It was so cute!  I'm lovin' the bedhead in these pictures...

Charlie was... oh.... happy as a clam just to be here!!

The Toy Story characters were some of his stocking stuffers and they were a BIG hit.  Cheetoe was such a good girl just observing from afar!!

I can't believe I actually got this next picture of the two of them together!

After we had our family Christmas at home, we went to the Wayne's house for a YUMMY breakfast and we exchanged our presents with them.  Then we headed to my parents house for an afternoon/evening of good ole' family holiday fun. 

Katelyn got an iPod Nano from Gigi and Boppa... she was SO surprised and happy!!

Sarah and Kerry got Katelyn a motorized scooter for Christmas.  They had told her that there was no way she was getting one so she was in heaven when she opened it!!  She brought it to Gigi and Boppa's so she could show it off!

Adrey is madly in love with "KK" as he calls her.  He follows her everywhere and loves holding her hand.  It's the cutest thing to witness.

Oh yeah, I'm totally loving this next picture... snotty nose and all...

Charlie made a nice centerpiece at dinner...

A jam packed fun-filled day + no nap yields one unhappy toddler by 6:00 p.m.... He was roaming the house saying, "Ducky.... Paci (pacifier).... Milk.  Ducky..... Paci..... Milk".  He was sound asleep by 6:15 on Daddy's lap in the den!

And our 4th Annual "Ritcheys-in-front-of-the-Christmas-tree-with-our-jammies-on" photo!!  Adrey was my guinie pig when testing the tripod and timer.

Such a beautiful day.  We are so blessed.
