The boys and I spent the day together on Thursday so we decided it was the perfect time to decorate our tree! Adrey was a BIG help! He managed to hang an ornament every, oh, say, 15 minutes. Needless to say, it took a little longer than in previous years, but it was twice the fun! This next video clip demonstrates perfectly why it took so long...
Charlie's newest trick is to stick out his tongue. And I swear he knows it's funny because when we start laughing (hysterically, by the way, because he has the teeny tiniest tongue I think I've ever laid eyes on) he sticks it out again... and again... and again. And I can't get enough of it!
Oh, and this next one... I don't think I could have clicked the camera at a more perfect time. This may be one of my top five photos ever taken. Me likey.
We are having a bit of a cold front here... it's been in the 40's at night...
Just after this next picture was taken, Adrey got Charlie in a choke hold and pulled him across his chest... Charlie was flat as a board on his stomach draped over Adrey's chest until I rescued the poor critter!
Tonight we headed to the Wayne's house to celebrate Katelyn's 9th birthday. She had a slumber party with all her little friends. I can NOT believe she is NINE years old. I remember the day she was born. It was my first day at my new job when Sarah went in to labor. And I felt horribly guilty about having to ask to leave work early on Day 1!! She's becoming such a little lady... beautiful inside and out.
Wow, what a beautiful wrapping job on the present she's opening? Oh... That's mine:-)
Charlie fell asleep mid-party (which I can't believe because these girls were MAJORLY whipped up!) and Nana asked if she could hold him. She was in HEAVEN holding sweet Charlie. I kept peeking over at her and she was caressing his hands and looking at him with such endearing eyes. Sarah served the cake to everyone while Nana was holding Charlie. I sat next to Nana and asked her if she would like a piece... and she responded with, "No, I want to hold Charlie more. I'll take my cake home with me." OH. BE. STILL. MY. HEART. PASS THE TISSUES PLEASE!! I got so choked up when she said that.
This next picture was NOT staged and needs no description. It tells such a story and makes my heart hurt it's so happy. I can't stop looking at it. Sniff... sniff....
