Adrey's 2nd Birthday!!!

Our "big, little boy" turned TWO on July 23rd and Mama has not been able to post pictures of his special day until now! Ugh!! It was a very special day/weekend and I still can't believe that he's the big "2". I can't believe how the time has flown and what a big boy he's growing up to be. The morning started out with a cupcake and Mommy and Daddy singing happy birthday to him. Yup... a chocolate cupcake with mounds of creamy icing for breakfast... Hey, your birthday only comes but once a year, and you only turn 2 once, so we did it up big!

And then on Saturday, we had a joint birthday party for ADREY....

and his big cousin ALLISON, who turned 5....

Allison had to have been a princess in a former life because she's OBSESSED with anything pink or princessy! She is such a little girl and it's just the cutest! And just as Allison is crazy about girly things, Adrey gets the BIGGEST kick out of monkeys. He LOVES monkeys. So naturally, the party theme was princesses and monkeys....

Unfortunately the pool party quickly became an unplanned, no-plan-B-if-it-rains, party inside the clubhouse! So pretty much the kids just ran around acting crazy off of their cake sugar highs while the moms and dads sipped on cool beverages and mingled!! I love this next picture of my mom and Charlie... the way Charlie is looking at my mom like "What the?"

And we had a princess cake for Allison..

And, of course, a monkey cake for A-man...

And Adrey was all about the candles and blowing-them-out bit!!

LOVED how his hand went RIGHT in the cake when he went to blow out the candles! Oh, and check out the cool cake... it's really cupcakes with a solid layer of icing on the top and you just pull them apart!! Genius, huh?!?!?! Thank you, Publix. I heart you.

The more icing he ate the more he resembled the monkey on his shirt!
