Random cuteness

Charlie had his "1 month" pediatrician appointment yesterday... I put 1 month in quotations because he's almost 7 weeks old now which I can't believe! Besides throwing up all over the floor and himself the second I got him unchanged, and then pooping in his diaper to the point that it creeped up his back, the appointment went VERY well! He got a gold star from the doctor for sure! He weighs a whopping 10 pounds (25th percentile) and is 22 3/4 inches long (75th percentile)... another long and lean one (at least for now)!! He had to get two shots he was none to pleased about, but recovered very quickly. He is SUCH a sweetheart. We are getting LOTS of smiles and cooing these days and I'm EATING IT UP! He likes it when I start at his toes and makes silly noises and move my finger up his body to his nose, ending with a "boop boop" noise on the tip of his nose. Yeah, Mom's funny!!

Adrey helps out a lot with his little brother. We try to incorporate him with everything we do so he feels extra special. Adrey likes to squeeze the water on to Charlie in the tub.... it's just too cute!

And then after bath he gets all cozy in his jammy jam-jams. These are John's favorite jam-jams.

And they were his favorite jam-jams when Adrey wore them (see below) two years ago. Whoa, can you tell they're brothers?!?!?

And Adrey had his TWO-YEAR appointment yesterday two. He's weighing 27.5 pounds (40th percentile) and is 3 feet tall (75th percentile). In that he's still not talking that much, the doctor thought we should have his hearing tested. I knew it would come back fine, but we went ahead and had it tested. Turns out, his left ear failed the test, his right ear passed. I'm not convinced the test was accurate... Adrey can hear a truck, siren, airplane, etc. from a mile away! We're going to retest it in a month or so and if he still fails it, we will see an audiologist. I feel quite sure, though, that all will be fine. Adrey shows NO SIGNS what-so-ever that he's lacking hearing in that ear. I'm SO in tune with him and his body that I feel certain I would have picked up on it by now.
Adrey was SO good during the appointment. He waited patiently while Charlie was checked... and by patiently I mean he took off his shorts (not sure what that was all about), and along with his shorts came off one of his shoes, and he was walking around the room all lopsided like he was wearing a platform shoe! All the while I'm trying to keep a straight face while the doctor was discussing things with me about Charlie. Once the doctor and I started smiling at Adrey, he turned up the "ham notch" a little higher and was being the biggest goofball! But I was totally ok with it because he was being CUTE not NAUGHTY!!

We started the NO PACIFIER thing except nap time and nighttime (and as we're winding down before bedtime like he was below) AGAIN!! This time there won't be a baby being born to set us back!! Adrey starts school (sniff, sniff) on August 30th and he can't be sportin' a pacifier to school so we're going to nip this in the bud once and for all! He's doing great!

Oh. My. Sweetness. This next picture makes me all warm and fuzzy. All over my body. Can't stop looking at it and smiling. I love my babes.

MUAH!!

Random cuteness for sure! :) I think you are going to have three men in your life that look a lot alike. Adrey has a mini-me in Charlie and I've always thought Adrey looked so much like John. Glad to hear their appointments went well; they grow up so fast! (sniffle sniffle) When you get settled I'd love to come over and visit with you all. xoxo
