We celebrated Sarah's birthday all weekend and it was SO MUCH FUN!! Our birthday festivities started on Friday morning (her actual birthday) at 8:15 a.m. at First Watch where we had a delicious breakfast amongst our dear neighborhood chums. We are SO fortunate to live in a community with lots of young families with children. And these ladies are beautiful inside and out. Adrey and Charlie was part of the breakfast crew... Charlie didn't even know he went, as he was asleep the whole time, and Adrey was a DREAM. Seriously. This kid of ours is the best little guy! He's just turning into this little person that listens, and entertains and smiles and just SCREAMS (not literally) happiness! He was making everyone laugh the entire breakfast and he was making friends with the old people at the table next to us! So cute!
After breakfast we headed back to our house where we had a massage therapist come over and give all of us massages while we sipped on mimosas! OH. MY. GOODNESS. It felt a little strange to be having a mimosa in the middle of the morning on a Friday, but that feeling quickly passed as we were enjoying our girl time so much!
The massage therapist set up camp in Charlie's room. It was actually quite a peaceful setting for a massage, under the oak tree, ya know. I told Ira (she works at Spa Terre at La Playa and she was wonderful) to be sure to lock the door while giving the massages because I was afraid Adrey might waltz in! Well, my thoughts were not totally unfounded. When it was my turn, the therapist accidently forgot to lock the door and about 3 minutes into the massage, I heard the door open and I opened my eyes to see two little eyes staring at me about 6 inches from my face! LOL! So funny!
And the festivities didn't end there... Saturday night we landed at Bravo for a very nice dinner out with family and a couple of friends!
Adrey stayed home with his cousins and a sitter and Charlie joined us. He was an angel, of course!
We had a riot. Lots of laughs were had!
We got laughing SO hard while taking all these pictures. The people at the outside bar must have thought we were nuts!!
I was trying to demostrate how sexy a Mama can still be... even if she has a diaper bag draped over her shoulder! Maybe that last glass of wine wasn't such a good idea!! LOL!
