Yup, we're headed to Georgia! Right now I'm cramped in the front seat with my knees against the dashboard (I think I will have the word "AIRBAG" permanently engraved in my shin after today), my contacts are drying out because I'm so close to the A/C vents and all I hear is the iPhone saying "meow, meow, meow" with whatever game Adrey's playing on it!! We have one more passenger this year to our trip to the mountains (hence the reason I'm so cramped in the front seat... Charlie's car seat is right behind mine so my seat is as far forward as it can go and I'm at a 90 degree angle... my days of reclining the seat all the way back and sleeping are a thing of the past!!)! We left this morning at 5:15, following the lead of the Waynes, and are headed for Big Canoe, GA, where we've rented a 5 bedroom cabin for a week!! My parents and one of John's sisters and her family are going too!! We've got lots planned for the week... I think Sunday we're doing nothing, Monday we're headed nowhere, Tuesday notta, Wednesday we might revisit nowhere again, Thursday a whole lotta nothing and Friday we'll probably just hang out at the cabin! LOL! We have NO plans the entire week and I'm so excited! There is absolutely nothing we CAN do BUT relax!! And is it so terrible that at 7:30 this morning as we're driving, I was already thinking of Judee and Mat's famous margarita's they'll be making for tonight? I am SO in vacation mode! Me likey.
Adrey and Charlie are being SO wonderful in the car. Adrey is watching a movie right now, with a tight grip on ducky, a paci in his mouth suckin' away, and remnants of his fruit roll up on his cheeks and chin!! He's been going back and forth between playing with the iPhone and watching the movie. We stopped for a little bit for an educational/speech lesson but it didn't last very long as he wasn't having it!! We've stopped twice, once for breakfast and once just for a bathroom break... Charlie ate both times and then drifted back off to sleep... the little critter is just now waking up and his engine is starting to rev... I think he's OVER the car seat, so we'll get out here in a bit and grab some lunch and he can get out and stretch those little 10 inch legs of his!!
Oh, and our kitchen is DONE!! They finished it yesterday! When we get home I'll post pictures!! I almost hated to leave it!! It's beautiful!!
Lots of fun pictures will be posted of our trip this week, I'm sure!!

Oh, I can so see you scrunched up in the front seat! You poor thing and what a trooper to go on such a big trip so early on! Sounds like Charlie is the perfect baby for a trip like this! So glad he's okay - I was praying like a nun! xo
