Last Saturday we celebrated a very special event. As you know, my dear friend, Rochelle, is getting married in October. Saturday we spent the afternoon showering her with gifts and wonderful memories she'll have forever. Rene, Jen, Micaela and I were the party planners and it turned out beautifully. I have to give the majority of the credit, though, to Rene (Rochelle's sister). I swear, she is THE BEST PARTY PLANNER I know! The thought, time, energy, devotion, paper cuts, (swear words) and love she put into this we evident. The theme was "Something Blue" so everything was blue and white. It looked absolutely beautiful.

Daniella, of Ella's Cakes, did another fabulous job on the cake. Some people didn't even know it was the cake until we started cutting into it!!
Rochelle arrived (fashionably late, of course) and the water works turned on! She came bearing bunches of flowers for each of the bridesmaids/hostesses. She looked stunning!
Love this next picture of Rochelle and her bridesmaids! I want to be sure to mention the three bridesmaids Jamie, Stacey and Melody who aren't local and couldn't be here! You were missed. But we drank enough champagne to make up for you not being with us. We're good like that.

Prior to the shower, Rene asked Chris some questions and recorded his answers. At the shower, Rene asked those same questions to Rochelle. Rochelle would answer the question and then Rene would play the video to see if Chris answered it the way Rochelle did. It was so cute! And they were pretty accurate! The last question was, "How does Rochelle take her coffee?". Rochelle answered, "Black with a Splenda. It used to be Cream and Splenda but not anymore." I kid you not, I think Chris said it verbatum! SO CUTE!
Couldn't resist getting a picture of Rochelle's signature legs. One of the questions was, "Which of Rochelle's features do you like the best?" Chris's answer was legs and butt! And here you have them!

All four of us were responsible for bringing two pairs of undies with us to the shower. We were "assigned" a monumental event in the life of a married woman (i.e. wedding night, 1st anniversary, 25th Anniversary, etc.) and had to buy undies appropriate to that event. We each read a segment of a cute poem depicting the events and then hung the undies on the clothes line. Too cute! It was cute to see the further the event in a woman's life, the larger the underwear became!
