A Trip to the Zoo...

Saturday the boys and I headed to the zoo. What started out as a really great day, ended up being a really crummy one. It started out all smiles like THIS....

I love the progression of these photos as he jumps!

And while Adrey was playing, I turned around to check on Charlie, and he was seriously doing THIS...

It doesn't take much to make this little baby smile! It's the cutest thing! He can barely keep a pacifier in his mouth because it's constantly falling out because he's always smiling! I love it!

What started out as a fun trip to the zoo ended in tears and me pushing a baby and carrying a toddler around the entire zoo. Usually when we go to the zoo Adrey's in his stroller and he's crying to get out. So on Saturday I decided I would push Charlie in the stroller (no double stroller yet) and let Adrey walk. The zoo playground is what we hit first and he was happy as a clam, and then once we left the playground, from that point on he insisted on being carried. And tie in a little whining, a lot of Adrey tears and 150 degree weather, it was the perfect recipe for a frustrated and worn out Mama. Needless to say, I have ordered a double stroller and it can't get here soon enough!!
John was out of town for 5 days and wowie zowie, being a single mama is no easy task. I don't realize how much John helps until he's gone. Sunday the Wayne girls came over for breakfast and we made "Welcome Home Daddy" signs for John and Kerry (they went on their annual golf trip to Michigan) had waffles and then hit the road to Costco (LOVE Costco) and the mall.
Adrey made a sign too, but his attention span isn't quite as long so by the time I got the camera out he had moved on to bigger and better things!!
