Bella's Beautiful Baptism

Isabella Lauren Ann Michetti was baptised on Saturday, September 11th. And I am honored to say that I am privileged to be Isabella's Godmother. A title and responsibility I proudly except and will forever cherish being. Isabella is precious as can be and was born into one AMAZING family... the daughter of a mother who has one of the biggest hearts and I feel truly blessed to know. The daughter of a father so proud and doting. And the sister to a big brother that loves her very much. Isabella has it made. Isabella became a part of the Christian family... and it was a beautiful sight.

The priest that baptised Isabella was a college professor of Mikes. He was wonderful!! He flew down from Washington DC to perform this ceremony... which was so personal and intimate. During the ceremony, Jennifer handed Isabella to me. I thought she did it so that she could mark a cross on Isabella's head as we all did. But then Jennifer walked back to where she was originally standing and I was still holding Isabella. I kept mouthing to Jen, "Why don't you hold her? Shouldn't you be holding her?" And Jen kept mouthing, "No, you're the Godmother." Sooooo, apparently in the Catholic church the Godmother holds the baby during the service. Good to know! Charlie attended the service and Adrey stayed with Boppa since, well, he's TWO!
Enough said! While I was up front with the family, I asked Mike's mom, Lauren, to hold Charlie. While the minister was talking, Charlie tooted SO LOUD... everyone started chuckling under their breath. Including me. It struck me as so funny I could not stop laughing! Little stinker. Literally!!

And here she is, the little baptised baby (oily/wet head and all) and her family! In addition to Bella's baptism, Mike and Jen also had their marriage blessed. So in that I wasn't invited to their first wedding (little fun jab, Jen:-) we at least got to see their second one (xoxo)!! And the only reason we weren't invited to their first wedding was because we barely knew them then!

Oh, and see what I mean about doting? It's so sweet to witness Mike with Isabella... he sings to her and dances with her. Such a warm and mushy side of Mike I never knew before but am glad to know now.

And after the ceremony I went and picked up A-man and headed over to Mike's parent's (Mike and Lauren) house for a beautiful celebration. They live in a BEAUTIFUL home. And as soon as I walked in I started sweating when I saw all the crystal and frames and ornaments that were about, oh, toddler-level high. The home was, by no means, Adrey proofed!!

LOVE this picture, Jen. You are a beautiful Mama.

I also LOVE this picture of Charlie and Rochelle! Charlie is so alert and happy! Look at his adorable eyebrows and all his teeny tiny two month old features!
Oh, be still my heart.

Erin and Zachary, BEFORE Zachary fell asleep on Mama's lap!

AFTER...

The Mamas..

And Adrey was the life of the party, of course!

Oh this kid makes me so happy. Just look at this smile! This is going in a frame...

Thank you, Jen and Mike, for entrusting me with this wonderful responsibility. Your family means so much to us. We are blessed to have you in our lives.
P.S. John was out of town on business that's why he wasn't in any of the pictures!!
P.P.S. Thank you ROCHELLE for all of these photos! She is the one that captured all of these beautiful images. Mama, that would be me, remembered to bring the camera but forgot the stupid camera card. Nice.
