What a GREAT weekend! I love weekends like this. John, Adrey and I packed up the car and headed to Siesta Key, about 1 hour and 45 minutes north of here to meet one of John's friends and his family who are visiting the area.
The car ride went well, although we "planned" it so that Adrey would take his morning nap in the car and sleep the whole way there, but he was not falling for it. He did sleep, but for only about a half hour or so! We arrived and the beach was a sea of people and colorful umbrellas. The beach there is like no other beach I have ever seen. It seems like a mile of sand before you reach the Gulf!! Truly beautiful.

John set up "camp" as soon as we got there.
And it was a perfect little spot too.
John's friends, Darla and Kurt, arrived with their two daughters, Gia and Ava. This is Gia. And she is just the sweetest little babe.... she's 7 months old.

I tried putting Adrey down in the water next to Gia but that went over like a turd in a punch bowl. He was NOT a happy camper!!! The water was a bit chilly for him, and he's still not into the sand (he actually started to crawl off the beach towel and into the sand and as soon as he hit the sand, he sat back up, looked at his hands, and held them in the air and started crying)!! He's thinking very hard about something in this next picture!!
This morning we went for a bike ride around the neighborhood. We pulled Adrey in one of those buggy things that attach to the back of the bike! Once he got used to it, and felt the breeze, I think he really enjoyed it! When we got home, he had a baffers (a.k.a. "a bath"), then had a mini photo shoot (see below) and then a nappers to get ready for our afternoon of fun.
This afternoon we met some friends and their babies at Tommy Bahamas. It was a beautiful day (although a little on the warm side) and the company was great!!
This is Skye. Skye is 13 days older than Adrey. She is SUCH a beautiful baby. And she has a great disposition too. So "chill" and go with the flow...
And this is Chase. I introduced you to him back at the beginning of May when he came into this world. He's now almost 4 weeks old!! He's such a cutie pie, although he slept almost the whole time we were there, so we really didn't get to "chat"!!

Oh, those cheekers! YUMO! Love the one with you and your friends and their babies! So neat how far you've all come in your friendships from hs heartbreaks to becoming mommies! So neat!
