Happy Birthday to our dearest Adrey!! I can't believe we are in the presence of a FOUR year old! I honestly feel like I blinked and this happened! Where does time go? We had a house full of 24 kids and 25 adults on Saturday night to celebrate Adrey and Charlie's birthdays. Holy fun chaos! I'm still recovering! Lots of pictures and stories to tell of that, but I'm trying to knock out these cruise pictures!!
Our second stop on the cruise was St. Thomas. We docked right at the port so there so no having to wait for boats to take us to land!
We took a lift type thing (I know they have a name, but it's completely escaping me right now) up the mountain to get to the top where there was a "zoo". I use that word VERY loosely as there were a couple (uncaged... you'll see in a moment) goats, a couple peacocks and a few geese. But the company was good!
Charlie enjoyed every bit of it. Sweat and all.
See what I mean about uncaged? All of a sudden this goat jumped on top of the fence and then out on to the walkway. Startled the heck out of me as I was standing right next to him!
This is the lift thing I was talking about! The Waynes and Adrey joined up with us a little bit later!!
Charlie was a tad freaked out by the goat. Can't say that I blame him.
Adrey did not like him one bit.
I love this picture. I'm loving the colorful door, the colorful box of Fruit Loops and the colorful smiley 2 year old. This makes my heart smile.
After the SKYWAY... that's what it's called... a SKYWAY!!! Ha, it just came to me just like that! We took a "tour" of the island. Again, I use the word "tour" very loosely. It was a truck with all the sides open so we could stick our arms (and legs) out the sides, but she was inside in the cab (just to give you the visual). Her loud speaker didn't work so if she wanted to say something she had to pull over. And when she'd pull over she'd say "This is the airport" and get back in. "This is the sewage plant" and then get back in. "This is the University" and then get back in. I can't say I'm knowledgeable about St. Thomas's history, but none-the-less, it was fun!!
Charlie couldn't handle the fun and was out like a light within minutes of the tour!
We did get out at the top of the mountain and took some pictures which was cool. At the top of the mountain they were selling coconuts with straws in them and there was a donkey named Lady GaGa with a bow on her head that you could pay $5.00 to have your picture taken with.
Then on to lunch!
Charlie post-nap hair-do!
Lots of old, cool doors which made for some good pictures!
KK and Adrey... BFF.
Sarah, Kerry, Charlie and I decided to walk back to the ship and the rest of the crew took a cab. On our walk back we spotted THREE huge iguanas just hanging out in some grass!!
When we got back to the room we were hot, sweaty messes and had a little bit of down time!
We got cleaned up and headed on to the main deck to watch us leave the island.
And made time for our one and only family photo shoot. Complements to Boppa on taking such a nice picture! John loves (sarcastic font) it when I wear my four inch wedge shoes....
We went to another show before dinner and the singer invited all the kids on the stage. Allison was the only one of our four willing to go up.
After Allison was up on stage, Charlie saw her, turned around a looked at John, slid himself off John's lap and walked up to the stage. The dancer came off the stage, picked Charlie up and brought him on the stage! Cutest. Thing. Ever.
Summer Cruise Take 3 coming soon to a computer near you!
