Rochelle's Bachelorette Weekend... Oh boy....

Rochelle's bachelorette weekend has come and gone.  I remember when Rochelle first got engaged last October and about a week later her super organized sister, Rene, was sending out emails planning the bridal shower and bachelorette party.  It seemed like an eternity away and to think it's behind us now is crazy.  Celebrating this for one of my dearest friends on the planet was SO SPECIAL.  I feel so blessed to have been a part of this journey with Rochelle.  And to think the wedding is only 15 days away.  CRAZY!
In a  nutshell, one of my top ten weekends....

I've pondered over the thought that if I had to choose one word to describe the weekend, what it would be....  Fun, laughter, relaxing, rejuvenating, alive.  They all fit, but there was one word that stood out for me and topped the cake.  That word is FRIENDS.  I had the opportunity to spend 48 hours with some old (in terms of how long I've known them) friends, and made 3 new friends.
Sarah, Jen and I hit the road about 3:00 last Friday en route to Singer Island, FL on the east coast.  I knew it was gonna be a great weekend from the car ride alone.  You can see for yourself by clicking HERE.  The three of us were rockin' out like there was no tomorrow!!

Unbeknownst to Rochelle we had a life size cardboard cutout made of Chris.  I am the one that took the photo of Chris, and for that, I may never be able to look him in the eyes again, but IT WAS WORTH IT!!  We had "Cardboard Chris" standing in the room waiting for Rochelle.  And when she walked in, this was her reaction!

H.I.L.A.R.I.O.U.S.  Her reaction was priceless.  I do believe she said, "Oh my gosh that looks just like his chest!"  At first she thought it was a random body with Chris's head, but nope, it was the whole kit and kaboodle!  She got the next best thing to the "real deal".  Shortly upon arrival we were sippin' on this...

Cheers!

The weekend was filled with surprises and secrets for Rochelle.  The first surprise was that all of us created a scrapbook for her.  We each made our own two page spread of memories of us with Rochelle and then Rene bought an album and put it together.  Below Rene and Mel were secretly putting the pages in the book in the bathroom before it was presented! She loved it!

Friday night was a pajama party in the hotel room.
After presenting the scrapbook we promptly got in our jammies and settled in for the evening.  An evening filled with yummy adult beverages, food, presents, laughter, laughter and more laughter.

Jen ordered an adorable pair of silk jammies for Rochelle that had R&C on the front pocket.

I seriously haven't laughed that hard in so long.  We all made some wonderful memories that night for sure!  It would have been silly for Cardboard Chris to spend the weekend in the room.  So he didn't.  He came with us everywhere.  EVERYWHERE.

And we spent much of Saturday doing THIS...

And so did Cardboard Chris.  He was quite popular with EVERYONE.  I can't tell you how many strangers asked to have their photo taken with him.  He's left behind a legacy on Singer Island.  Pretty sure of it.

We had TEAM ROCHELLE tank tops made for us and a FUTURE MRS. SHUCART tank top for Rochelle.  Love this picture.

This next picture of Rochelle pretty much sums up how she felt last weekend.  I loved seeing her so happy and in her "element".

After the pool we all hit the showers and got ready for dinner.  Everyone was dressed to the nines from head to toe!  It was so great!  Unfortunately we only got as far as the lobby before Rochelle didn't feel well and the word "faint" was brought up a few times.  She looked smokin' hot in her dress and shoes, but it was obvious by the look on her face that her body was feeling otherwise.  I felt so bad for her because I knew how much she wanted to enjoy this evening.  She wanted to go back to the room and lay down, but was convinced to try to go out for a little bit.  After all, there was a STRETCHED LIMO in front of the hotel waiting for us that Rochelle and Rene surprised us with.  So we all piled in and headed out to eat.  Rochelle was "taking one for the team" for sure.

And, of course, Chris was not left behind.

Rochelle only felt worse the longer she sat at the table...

Unfortunately, just after dinner arrived at the table, Rochelle and her sister-in-law headed back to the hotel in the limo.  But the rest of us enjoyed a nice dinner and a few cocktails:-)

Chris bartended a bit...

After dinner we piled back in the limo to head back to the hotel...

But not before first stopping at PUBLIX for a cart full of sweets. That Publix experience was by far my best grocery shopping trip EVER. HY-STER-I-CAL!!

Love this next picture but it's definitely not complete without the whole gang.

So we did what friends do and we came back to the hotel and piled up on Rochelle and settled in for another evening of fun.

Sunday we headed to lunch and then hit the road.

Rochelle, what a great weekend that was.  I'm so happy for you.  You have an amazing two weeks ahead of you before the big day.  I remember the couple weeks leading up to the wedding were JUST as exciting as the big day itself.  Last minute details, organizing, family trickling into town and the jitters.  It's all in my memory like it was yesterday.  Now it's your turn.  Enjoy every piece of it.  I'm so happy for you.  LOVE YOU TO PIECES!!
