I posted yesterday too so if you didn't check yesterday be sure to read about MJ's birthday party! The same night as MJ's party we decided to head to Tommy Bahama's just the four of us. It was a perfect evening out and we had nothing on our agenda. I was curious if we'd have a wait when we got there, but there wasn't a single person seated outside at Tommy's when we arrived. I guess normal for September but still seemed odd for downtown. Adrey and Charlie were both VERY good boys... and that's NOT always the case at a restaurant!
Such a goofball. Or as Adrey says "boofgall".
Again, out comes the camera and out comes the smile. This kid gets it.
Adrey got a hold of the camera for a little bit...
We had a great dinner and started to head home. We passed a side street that ended at the golf and I could see the sun going down. I said without thinking, "Let's go to the beach and watch the sunset!" and without hesitation, John made a left turn and we were on our way! Adrey wasted no time getting in the water. We had no towels, no change of clothes, no nothing. And it was PERFECTION in every sense of the word. Perfection like the kinda-chokes-you-up kind of perfection.
And I snapped some really cute photos of the kids. I can't stop looking at some of these.
Um, loving this next picture of me and my wittle Cha-she. Oh, I could just eat him up.
Adrey sat on the shore and the waves kept creeping up on him and twisting him around. He thought it was the F.U.N.N.I.E.S.T. thing E.V.E.R. It kinda was.
And when we got home, I kid you not, there were handfuls of sand in all four of Adrey's pockets. I would guess we brought home about two cups of sand straight from the Gulf of Mexico!! I'm still finding sand around the house.
Charlie LOVES to splash!!
This next picture absolutely cracks me up! Fully clothed doing yoga poses in the Gulf. Gotta love that!
But I swear Charlie has an ON/OFF switch. And in a matter of seconds he had HAD it and wanted to go home. I swear this picture was taken a minute after he was doing yoga. And I love how Adrey is grinning ear to ear. This is one of the pictures I can't stop staring at! It's like ying and yang!
But Adrey wasn't quite ready to go, so Charlie sat on my hip and managed to "suck it up" for a little longer!
And after the sun when down, Adrey, on his own, decided to go commando.
Why not?
Little butts are the best.
