I'm still a week behind in posts but I'm trying desperately to catch up!
We spent Labor Day on the boat and at the beach!
Everyone, especially Charlie, appeared to enjoy the events of the day! I swear this kid does not stop smiling. And he knows to smile for the camera which is hilarious. You hold up a camera in front of him and he automatically strikes a pose. He gets it. And he works it.
Ohhhh, I love them teefers... and he's getting his two bottom "canine" teeth as we speak. They already butted their angry heads through the gums!
Adrey's eyes are hyper sensitive to the sun. He's always been this way, but ever since Cancun and the eye infection he got there, to me, it seems to be worse. I took him to the eye doctor last month and the doctor says he has allergies. I don't know. Seems strange that the only time his eyes bother him is when it's sunny out, yet it's allergies. I don't know what to think. He almost always wears sunglasses when we're outside, but if he's not, this is typically what he looks like! Very pirate-esque. "Aaaarrrrrrr"
Allison now has a toothless grin and is a few dollars richer since the tooth fairy paid a visit! Love this picture. Could eat her right up.
I think I heard Charlie saying "I love you" to Allison when I snapped this shot!
When we first got to Keywaden Island, a man walked up to our boat as John and Kerry were getting the boat anchored. He proceeded to tell us that a 10 foot salt water crocodile just came up to the side of a boat and for us to be careful. Oh brother. We took a walk down the beach and came upon the Sheriff's boat and asked if it was true and they said yes. I've lived here my whole life and have probably visited Keywaden a thousand times and I didn't even know we HAD salt water crocs down here! So crazy! Thankfully we didn't meet said crocodile!
But we DID come upon a million seagulls just relaxing... until the kids found them!
And this is about when the meltdown occurred. "Pick me up. Walk this way. I don't wanna do that. Pick me up. Hold me." and then it was just buckets of tears and whines like I've never heard. WOWSERS! And he went to "time out" in the middle of the beach until he could collect himself. Not sure if you can tell but he's SOBBING in this next picture! I feel terrible saying this but sometimes when he does this it makes me want to laugh in hysterics. I seriously have to look the other way and collect MYSELF in these situations because it's just so silly and 9 out of 10 times it's because of NOTHING that this happens and he's so beside himself with his red cheeks and nose and his labored breaths and the big streams of tears and then add a pair of blue goggles to the mix and it's just too much for me to handle. Bless his little heart.
So while he was doing that, I was doing this...
We were at the beach for a good four hours before we decided to head back. Adrey got to drive part of the way!
Such a fun day!!
