Chuck E. Cheese

All of the water activities are pretty much out of the question (for me at least) for the next few weeks, so we're always looking for something to do that involves AIR CONDITIONING!! Thursday we made a trek up to Ft. Myers and showed off our two babes to all of the people at John's office and then hit Chuck E. Cheese for some serious sensory overload!! The whole way up to CEC, I kept telling Adrey we were gonna see a big squeaky mouse, and he looked slightly confused... until we got there and then it all made perfect sense!!

The Waynes joined us too...

Allison is always making a fashion statement. And it doesn't matter that it was 100 degrees outside, the boots were a must!

To say that this past week has been a huge bonding experience for Daddy and Adrey is an understatement. Adrey has wanted NOTHING to do with me all week and wants Daddy for EVERYTHING! It's really heart-warming to watch, but it still tugs at my heart strings a bit that he doesn't want me. He follows John around mimicking everything he does. It's really the cutest.

I swear, since Charlie has been born, I feel like Adrey has gained 10 pounds and grew 6 inches. He looks like SUCH a big boy now. Sniff. Sniff.

Charlie slept the whole time. Didn't make a peep, as usual.

Oh, and Adrey got his first introduction to COTTON CANDY. At first he took a chunk and then handed it back to John... he didn't realize it was food until John ate a piece. Then there was renewed interest on Adrey's part...

And once he put the cotton candy on his tongue, it was LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. The grin on his face was to DIE for! He was in heaven! And I had my first taste in probably 15 years and I can't say that I blame him! Holy shmoly cotton candy is so good!!

I realize his eyes are closed in this next picture, but it struck me as so precious.

And a couple cute stories to share...

The other day I had just showered and was walking around in my bra and shorts. I was putting stuff away in Adrey's room and I turned around and Adrey had brought me a shirt. Should I be offended?!?! LOL!!

Also, yesterday Adrey woke up from a nap and he was so sad. I think he had woken up from an unsettling dream or something. I scooped him up out of his crib, turned off the air purifier and brought him out to the family room thinking we could watch a movie. About a minute later he started crying and pointing to his room. So I carried him to his room... he pointed to his crib, so I put him in his crib.... he pointed to his blanket, so I put his blanket on him... he pointed to the air purifier, so I turned it on... and then he pointed to the DOOR as if to say "NOW LEAVE MAMA!", so I did! I shut the door behind me and he slept for another 45 minutes! Adrey is such a good little sleeper!! I just thought that was too cute for words!

We had swim lessons and celebrated my parents 40th Wedding Anniversary yesterday... those pictures to come soon.
