Birthdays, Baby Shower and Baths....

Our social calendar was booked today.
EVENT #1
Started out at birthday party for Jack and Ella (twin siblings) who turned ONE today!! A big day for them!! They are just two of the cutest little peas I've seen!!
It's so funny to me that even with a baby as young as a year, there is such a big difference in the actions of a boy and the actions of a girl!! Jack is all about FUN! He dove into that cake double fisted!! Ella was very dainty and a little more reserved, dipping only her index finger in to get some icing and then she'd lick it off her finger!!

Double fisted fun guy....

Delicate, single finger gal...

There was a GIANT sand box, which wasn't actually sand, but pebbles (more like kitty litter). I kind of figured Adrey wouldn't like it, since he hates sand, but you don't know unless you try.
But I was right...

He doesn't like sand, and apparently he's not all about pebbles either....

So I scooped him up in time for a Mommy-Adrey photo opportunity.

EVENT #2
Cute Jill is having her first baby, a girl, the end of October and today we celebrated at her baby shower. It was really a nice shower and Jill got so many wonderful things for her baby girl. Seven weeks left and we'll get to meet Baby Lowe!

After the shower I went out with a couple friends for a glass of wine. It's so wonderful being able to chat with friends, pick their brains, talk babies and laugh. I feel blessed to know some very amazing women and mommies.
Then it was home to my wittle man who I couldn't wait to see! I arrived home to find him eating a hot dog and cheese!! Such a big boy!! Oh, and by the way... our texture sensitive baby is getting better about it... he's eating peaches, grapes, blueberries and rasberries... and picking them up on his own!! I'm so proud of him!
He had a bath and was being extra cute.

His latest thing is to dip the wash cloth in the water until it's soaking wet and throw it over board. Lovely. I get soaked every time, but he enjoys himself and it's causing no harm. I laugh and that makes him laugh! I had camera set to the setting where you can take quick pictures, one right after the other. I love these next two...

He's obsessed with the wash cloth. He has a whole basket of bath toys, but he prefers to play with the wash cloth.

And yes, he can officially reach the toilet flusher. And then the wash cloth is no longer his favorite toy. I yi yi...

And after I told him (for the 100th time) that he couldn't flush the toilet anymore because it wastes water, his response...

Elle is looking at Adrey as if to say, "Dude...what's the problem? Relax and enjoy yourself!" I would have thought he'd pick up handfuls of that stuff and try to eat it!
LOVE the tubs pics...his face after he throws the washcloth is classic...with his mouth a little skewed! You should leave him in the tub all day...he loves it!
