Miah Jane

Well, in less than two months, this world will be a better place with Miah Jane in it. Another sweet, cuddly, yummy baby to spoil with love. And, unbeknownst to Miah Jane she was showered with gifts on Saturday... Joanne, the beautiful, glowing, mommy-to-be is due September 22nd...

It was an untraditional shower, for a very untraditional situation, but it was perfect in every way. A small cozy room at a local diner was the backdrop for this event. A lot of love filled this room.... Excitement for this new life that Joanne and Jeremiah created.

Everyone had a onesie with their name on it and they decorated them with stamps and markers so Miah Jane can wear them... It will be a constant reminder of how much she's loved.

And Tanya, Joanne's sister who hosted the event, put fresh flowers in glass baby bottles on every table. I tell ya, she thought of everything.

All of the Vuko ladies. Such a beautiful picture.

Twas a wonderful shower.
And a shower wouldn't be a shower without a CAKE. My sister-in-law, Jacqui, emailed me and commented on how much cake I've eaten in the last week based on my most recent posts! LOL! I hadn't realized it until it was brought to my attention. THANKS JACQUI!! (love you) But Joanne's cake was guiltless.... (it's made of diapers if you can't tell)

I feel blessed to know you Joanne and am so excited for you and this next chapter of your life. You will be an amazing mom. Miah Jane has no idea how blessed she is.
Sniff. Sniff.
Not to take away from Joanne's shower, but I need to post Adrey's newest "trick". Something he loves doing and gets a huge smile on his face when "performing". Adrey's just now starting to understand the whole idea that he's HUGELY cute and that we think he's hung the moon, so now he does things and then looks at us for an applause or a laugh or ANY kind of acknowledgement. He LOVES being the center of attention. It's honestly the cutest thing ever. He'll pull himself up and then turn around to see if we saw it. Or he'll tap his drum and then look over his shoulder with a smile. Seriously? Seriously. I can't handle all this cuteness.

He is SO expressive when he does things! His NO is shoulder to shoulder and he reaches for the ceiling with SO BIG! Too cute for words!!

Love the onesie idea too!
