Tubes, bowling and butts

Our little Charlie had tubes put in last Monday and he came through it with flying colors and is a new man because of it!  We've spent the last 11 months wiping his constantly dripping faucet-of-a-nose and since he had the tubes put in we have not used one single tissue on that little nose of his!  We couldn't believe how immediate the results were!!  Charlie's doctor/surgeon is a University of Michigan graduate, so we figured he might take extra special care of Charlie if he were sportin' the yellow and blue so he wore his finest U of M outfit!!  And when the doctor came in the room to say hello before the surgery, he had a U of M doctor's cap on!  Too funny!  And the anesthesiologist came in the room and it happened to be Dr. Cook who was one of my softball coaches 100 years ago when I was a "Tiger"!  Small world!  After the surgery, which lasted all of 10 minutes, Charlie slept for a good bit of the day.

Speaking of our little Charlie.... I've been in the cleaning/purging mode here lately and I was cleaning the office the other day and came across a toddler picture of me.  Um, holy smokes, Charlie is a little ME... Right down to the gap between the teeth (and I actually have perfectly straight teeth never having braces, so there's hope for Charlie!).  Check it out...

I took the week off from work to spend time with the boys.  It was such a great week.  I enjoyed every bit of being with them.  Three of the five days Katelyn and Allison joined us so that Sarah and Kerry could work.  Tuesday we went to the $1.00 movies and the playground, Wednesday we hit the water park with Jen, Bella and Billy, and Friday we went bowling (Katelyn brought her friend Faith with her)!  I have to say being in public with 4/5 kids I get lots of "Are you crazy?" looks!  Given their ages, it's feasible they could all be mine!  LOL!!  I love it!

I've seen more naked butts (see below) condensed into one week then I've seen in a really long time!!  Adrey is potty training and often goes bottomless (with a long t-shirt) around the house until he has a total handle on the toilet situation.  We have accidents every now and again, but he's doing AWESOME!!

Charlie getting in position to swipe the iPhone from Adrey...

Aaaaaaaaaand, there he goes....

Happy Father's Day to my wonderful Dad, I love you.  You are the best Father and Boppa I could have ever asked for.  You mean the world to me.
And Happy Father's Day to you, John.  I love you with all my heart and every day I thank God that it's YOU the boys are calling Daddy.  You are an amazing father and husband.  I love you.
