Random cuteness...

I absolutely LOVE that Adrey has a "ducky" and that ducky goes everywhere we go.  Adrey loves ducky.  And Ducky has become part of the family.  We wanted to be sure Charlie had a "ducky" too, except Charlie has a "hippo".  And I think Charlie loves hippo just about as much as Adrey loves ducky.  If we put Charlie in his crib before we have located Hippo, he balls his sweet eyes out and then as soon as you bring him hippo he's happy as a clam.  And this is how he sleeps all night long.  It's just the cutest thing.

 

I came out from the bedroom the other night to find John and Adrey fast asleep.  Like father like son!  (I freakin' love Adrey's chin... looks like someone took a thing of silly puddy rolled it in a ball and stuck in on his chin.) 

Adrey loves bubbles.  I found a cool bubble machine so we tested it out this morning.  It got a big THUMBS UP from Adrey!

I picked Adrey up from school the other day and as soon as we got in the car Adrey started to tell me a story and he was very expressive in doing so.  I could tell what he was trying to say was very important to him.  This was the conversation:

Adrey:  Mama, fire ayarm.

Me:  Oh, did the fire alarm go off?

Adrey:  (he paused then looked off to the side and said..). No.  Fire ayarm go ON.

Me:  (grinning from ear to ear)  OH, the fire alarm went on?

Adrey:  Yes.  Fire ayarm go on at naptime.

Me:  Oh, boy.

Adrey:  Miss Jennifer goes (and then he made an "annoyed look" and flapped his arms down to his side). 

And I can't blame Miss Jennifer I think I'd be annoyed to if all the kids were napping and the fire alarm went off too!   Loved hearing that story!!

Charlie is not the least bit interested in napping this afternoon.  He's at my feet babbling and playing with the calculator.  Just a few minutes ago I took these pics of him.  Doll baby.

He kinda needs a hair cut.  But I'm not quite ready to get out the scissors yet.  He's just too cute with the whispy hairs. 

Little guy is pulling himself up now.  Time to lower the crib mattress!

And Mama got a pedicure.  And I'm diggin' the new color...

Happy weekend everyone!  I've got a list of about 30 projects/tasks I wanna get done this summer.  Today I've tackled 4 of them.  Summer is gonna be good.  I can feel it!!
