It's hard to believe Bella is already ONE! It seemed not long ago that I was viewing her through a glass window at the nursery in the hospital. I remember so well watching Mike holding her hand and trying to soothe her as she was screaming from the top of her lungs as if to say, "What the heck? Where am I? and Could someone please swaddle me I'm freezing over here?". I remember thinking how joyful and proud he must be feeling because John and I knew the same feeling and until you're a parent you can't begin to describe the beauty and emotion of it. I also remember Jen being wheeled by me, looking like total hell (love you, Jen) ready to barf in a bag and me thinking, "Oh dear God, please let my delivery be an easy one!" because two short months later our little Charlie was to arrive and I was scared to death of the delivery (strange because I wasn't scared before delivering Adrey, but the second time around, I KNEW what to expect and was terrified!!!).
ANYHOO, back to my point...
BELLA TURNED ONE ON SATURDAY...
And she knew it was her day.
She was dressed to the nines....
And was struttin' her stuff like it was no one's business...
The party was held at "My Gym" and the kids had a "ball"...
Including Charlie...
Adrey loved the trampoline (Adrey does EVERYTHING better with his tongue sticking out, it assists with his concentration).
I love this next picture of John and Adrey.
And their feet...
I love this series of pictures here. There were a bunch of colorful cloths that were put on the floor in front of the kids and then the instructors dropped this huge mat in front of the kids which made all of the cloths blow towards them. The girls and Adrey LOVED it! Charlie, on the other hand, was not quite sure what to make of it!
I absolutely LOVE this next picture of Allison.
Wheeeeeere's Charlie?
Charlie got to bounce in a seat... although he was too preoccupied to actually bounce... he was too busy watching everyone and everything around him! He was sure to smile for the camera though. Cuz smiling is what he does best!
Adrey is not too bad at the whole smiling thing himself!! And I swear, since the "paci" is gone, he's so much happier. It's not like he was an unhappy kid before, actually quite the contrary, but I feel like his need for the pacifier fueled his emotions when he was tired and irritable. I know that seems weird, because pacifiers pacify kids, and it did to an extent, but when he didn't have one and wanted one it was NOT FUN. Now that he's paci-free I feel like he's a happier little spirit! And he's wanting to be with MOMMY a lot more these days, and I'm TOTALLY digging that. The yummy cuddles and snuggles from this guy are THE BOMB DIGGITY.
The birthday girl and her family!!
No need to adjust your screen... our little opossum was busy at play!
How sweet and innocent is this picture?!?!
Adrey's favorite part of the party, and quite possibly his entire weekend, were the bubbles. He started squeeling with excitement when they started the bubble machine!!
Isabella and her birthday hat!
All of the kiddos!
Before the food and cupcakes were served, Bella was brought to the back of the place where none of us could see her and then they started to play the song "Isn't she Lovely" and they brought Bella out in a wagon and paraded her in front of us. So stinkin' cute!!
Charlie thought the party was great!
The cupcakes were well-received by all...
Such a fun party!
We are so blessed to have Bella to celebrate.
