Last Saturday we had reason to celebrate because our friend Randalynn was in town for the weekend. Randalynn used to live in Naples and we worked together. She's since moved to St. Louis and has gotten married and has a beautiful daughter, Olivia. So, a couple weeks of emails back and forth and we settled on Stonewood. The whole gang showed up and we had a great time. I love this next picture... they look like Charlie's Angels...
Miah Jane was the star of the evening. And she sported her pearls... which Jo reminded me they are the pearls I gave my bridesmaids at our wedding! She wears them well!
We had such a great night. It's always fun to have a couple hours just to free your brain of any worries and stress and enjoy the company of friends and fellow moms. It's great sharing kid stories and learning how others deal with certain baby/toddler challenges... it's a great learning experience each time I hang with my girls.
After the fun dinner we were walking to our cars and Jen, Sarah and I ended up stopping in front of our cars and were talking for like 10 minutes. I finally suggested we go BACK inside for a drink and SIT and talk. So we did. And it was fun.
Love ALL my girls!!
No pictures of the boys today but I do have a "moment" to share. This morning Charlie was "stirring" in his crib and John went and got him and put him in the bed with me. John got in the shower and it was just me and my little guy. It was completely quiet and Charlie was touching my face and smiling. Then he'd grab my nose and laugh. It went on for about 20 minutes... him just examining me. I didn't want the moment to end, and all I kept thinking was that I wanted to bottle that moment up knowing I'll want to take it out 10 years from now. I can't believe Charlie was 7 months old yesterday. The time is just going by so fast. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this baby phase and I know before I know it it will be gone. So I'm eating up these moments. Every single last one of 'em:-)
