Disney Marathon Weekend - Take 1

So, we went out of town last weekend.  Can you guess where we went?  Here's a hint....

 If you guessed Mickey Mouse, then you'd be right!  We packed up the car and headed back up to Disney World.  But this wasn't any old trip to Disney... we drove up to watch KERRY run the MARATHON!!  Marathon, as in 26.2 miles, marathon!  And he did AWESOME!!  BUT, we'll get to that in tomorrow's post because I want to go in order here!

We left bright and early Saturday morning and went to Epcot first. The boys were PERFECTO on the ride up... they really have proven to travel well. Hopefully that lasts! The whole ride up, about every 5 minutes, Adrey would say, "I wanna see Goofy!". It was the cutest thing ever!

We first had to go to the ESPN Center so that Kerry could pick up his race package and number and all that good stuff.  There was a photo booth type set up and we managed to get a few pictures... I can't look at the picture of John without laughing HYSTERICALLY!  So funny!!

After ESPN we headed to Epcot.  While Kerry, Sarah and Katelyn went on a ride, the Ritchey's and Allison visited all the characters.  We waited in line for 45 minutes and NONE of the kiddos made a peep.  It's the strangest thing, but lines at Disney don't bother Adrey in the least.... he's surprisingly patient!  He's extremely impatient in a 3 minute line at PUBLIX but 45 minutes at Disney is no big deal.  I guess if you put GOOFY at the end of the line it IS an incentive to be good!  Wish Goofy could go grocery shopping with us!!

At one point Adrey and Charlie started to get drowsy so while the rest of the crew went on a ride, Charlie, Adrey and I walked the entire "countries loop".  Mama made a pit stop in Mexico and got herself a margarita.  Mama loves her a margarita.

 And while I stopped to take the above picture (which literally took me 3 seconds) a family of about 100 New Yorkers stopped and asked if I could take a picture of all of them.  So of course I did.  With all 15 of their cameras.  So by the end of the photo shoot, both boys had woken up (and Charlie upset) and I was SMACK DAB in the middle of the loop so there was no quick way back!!  Sooooooo, I strapped Charlie in the Baby Bjourn on my chest, told Adrey we'd be "right there" and we trekked on!

We met up with the rest of the gang and went on the Nemo ride and played with the fish afterwards....

By this time Kerry had left us and went back to the hotel to rest his feet before the big race.  He was totally not himself the day before... anxiety I'm sure.

Katelyn was the BEST BIG COUSIN EVER in Disney.  She loves Adrey SO much... it melts my heart to see them together.  Adrey sees Katelyn and immediately starts yelling, "KK.... KK.... KK" which he calls her.  It's the cutest thing.  There's no rivalry at all between the two of them (Adrey and Allison are an entirely different story!).  Katelyn just takes Adrey under her wing and it's the cutest thing to witness.  They held hands much of the trip.

Was such a fun day!  This is another 3 part post.  I need to spread the post love here.  I HATE that there was such a gap between posts because 20 years from now I'll never remember what happened in that 2 week time period.  Heck, I can't remember NOW what I did the past two weeks... who am I kidding?
