Well, we got up BRIGHT and EARLY on Thankgiving Day, once again, to participate in the 4-mile Turkey Trot benefiting a local homeless organization. Last year we couldn't do it because we were in Georgia, but we've done it the 3 years prior to that. The last time we did it, Adrey was in my belly!! Look at him now!!
Allison squeaked her way into the picture last minute. I actually didn't even notice she was in the picture until I uploaded it onto the blog!!
Oh, my, she's just the cutest 4 year old on the planet. Cankles and all.
And the table was set BEAUTIFULLY!
Oh, Adrey slept for two hours and woke up, literally 3 minutes before we sat down for dinner! So he was able to join in on the feast. The banana bread was his favorite thing on the menu! Actually, I take that back, the pumpkin dessert was his favorite as indicated in the pictures below! He nestled RIGHT in next to Aunt Sarah to partake in the after dinner festivities!
The question now is, could ADREY be more relaxed if he tried?
And we had to get a family photo!!
And a crazy shot of course!
I can't even begin to list all the wonderful things I am thankful for this year and always, as there are way too many. I am blessed with the most amazing husband, son, and family. I thank God every day for the life he has granted me. I am blessed beyond blessed.
Friday morning we all cuddled in our big bed. I LOVE this picture of my boys. After our cuddle session and some french toast with peanut butter, Adrey and I saddled up and headed to Bed, Bath and Beyond and a few other places to get some shopping done!
Adrey lasted about 4 stores, which was awesome, and then he'd had enough. When we got home, Daddy got the Christmas tree down and brought it in the house. He also got out the ladder to fix the front door blinds. Adrey was quite intrigued with the ladder....

During Adrey's nap, John went to watch the Auburn/Alabama game (Auburn LOST) and my mom came over and helped me decorate the tree. We got that tree decorated in record time! I couldn't wait for Adrey to wake up from his nap to get his response to the tree. But unfortunately when Adrey woke up, he was SO saddies for some strange reason, so the tree didn't have the impact I had hoped for! He really couldn't have cared less about it! HOWEVER, last night it was an entirely different story... um, he's obsessed with the ornaments, and enjoys LAUNCHING them across the house and then laughing because he knows he's not supposed to. It's situations like these that I don't know how to handle as a mommy.... because I don't WANT him to launch the ornaments across the room, but when I see him do it and then get his reaction, it's OVER-THE-TOP cute that I DO want to see him do it again! LOL! I know once the ornaments start breaking, though, I won't be feeling that way, but I will have created this ornament breaking child by that point and he won't be stopped! What is a mother to do?!?!?!
Thank you, Adrey, for being you. I love everything about your onesie-wearin', ornament-launchin', turkey-trottin' little bum-bum of yours. You make my world go round. You're the best things that's ever happened to me and I love you with all my heart. I can't WAIT to be chasing you around the house trying to get the ornaments from you for the next month. I wouldn't have it ANY other way, my sweet monkers.
