Days like this.... ahhhhhh....

Adrey helped me do laundry last night. I had to switch loads and had him in my arms, so I set him in the laundry basket next to the washer! Such a good little helper:-)

Today was such a great day! Besides Adrey waking up a little snotty (literally) and with a little cough, the day was such a nice day. After Adrey woke up from his morning nap, we went and picked up Sarah and Allison and headed to storytime. After storytime, we went and visited Nana (Adrey's Great Grandma) and she had lunch for us. It's always so nice to see her. Grandma will be turning 92 this month. I just love her to pieces. She's the cutest old lady... Stands about 5 feet tall with beautiful white hair and always smells like yummy Oil of Olay face moisturizer. That's a scent I will always associate with Grandma. Grandma may be 92, but she's as smart as a whip and is totally self sufficient. She lives by herself, cooks for herself, drives wherever she needs to go, uses the COMPUTER to balance her bank accounts (THAT'S impressive), plays Scrabble on her COMPUTER and plays bridge twice a week with her friends. I HOPE I HAVE HER GENES!!
After Nana's, we went home so Adrey could take his afternoon nap and then Allison came back over and the three of us went to the park. We go to the park a lot. It's only about a mile away, so it's a nice walk and the weather is to die for. It's March and we're going to the park. I love it here.

Allison kept saying, "Come on, get on the rockett, we can go to Egypt." So we did. We went to Egypt, round trip, in about 45 seconds. Pretty incredible.

After Egypt, we went on the swings.

Seriously... the hat? The Converse? The cute factor is beyond measure...

And the smile I see so often...

I, if I do say so myself, got some great pics of Adrey just soaking it all in.... the other kids, the weather, the mulch.... yeah... he was lovin' it...

Notice the little girl running to the left. Her mother was not far behind her. Adrey was watching them as they were running by.

He's still following them in this picture...

He got to watch some of the basketball game going on adjacent to the park too.

Allison sold lemonade and milk at the park today too. It tasted like mulch, but was good:-) It was $3.00 a glass though... pretty steep, but someone's gotta bring home the bacon, right?!?!

It's days like these that remind me of how thankful I am for my family. I love that we live so close to Sarah and the girls and we can see them whenever we want.
My days off with Adrey are the best and I look so forward to them. Weekends are the ALL TIME best (when I'm not working) because I get to be with BOTH of my favorite people in the whole wide world... John and Adrey.
