So, here's proof that not ALL giraffes have necks...

YES... Adrey was a GIRAFFE for Halloween!! Is this the cutest giraffe you've EVER seen or what?!?! It's ironic because Adrey doesn't even HAVE a neck right now! But, he wore the costume well, and he certainly stole the show last night! I can't count the number of "Awwwwww's" we got!! I made a pot of chili (which was delightful by the way) and the three of us headed down to my sisters... we ate dinner and then we met everyone in the cul-de-sac at 6:00 for photos. The weather was PERFECTAMOOOOOOONDO!! Below is a picture of Katelyn and Allison. Katelyn was a cat. Katelyn is 6 years old... she has been a cat for Halloween for the last 6 years. A different one each year, but a cat none-the-less... she's obsessed! Allison was a princess. Can you see their personalities in this picture? Can you tell which one is full of herself and which one is all business?

These are all of our friends in the neighborhood's kids. A really great group. They range in age from 3 months (Adrey) to 15 (Josh Tronnier). Adrey had the best seat in the house... on Nolan Tronnier's lap!!

So, I wanted to carve the pumpkin in a way that I could mimick it each year and take a picture of Adrey next to it. This is the best I could come up with!! I carved Adrey's name in the pumpkin and then put '08. I'll do it every year now with Adrey in his costume next to it.
Soooooo, here's our first annual "Adrey-next-to-his-pumpkin" photo. I couldn't decide which I liked better so I posted both!!

When we got home from trick-or-treating (and by trick-or-treating I mean pushing Adrey in his stroller and watching the kids run from door to door.... we didn't collect candy... we just ate K&A's when they got done:-) we got in our comfy cozies and watched Adrey do a "stand-up" comedy act. Seriously... we have never heard him so talkative... and in between chatting he was smiling and laughing! He's so full of himself!! It was a great way to end an already great evening. Below is a picture of John and "Mini-John" just before heading beddie-bye. My boys... I yuv them.
