And we're OFF!!

Well, we packed and loaded the car last night and were out of the door at 4:30 this morning! Right as planned! That NEVER happens! John just scooped Adrey up out of his crib and put him in the car seat. Adrey did wake up, but he wasn't phased a bit. He was very curious because this certainly isn't the routine, but he was just happy to be with us, he didn't care WHAT we were doing! We drove down to the Wayne's house and then headed for the interstate. We got to the intersection of Santa Barbara and Golden Gate Pkwy and I realized I forgot the video monitor for Adrey!! I KNEW we'd forget something, but luckily we were still close to home so we went back and got it!! My parents headed out about the same time.

Adrey isn't liking the car these days so I've been a bit anxious about this car ride. He seems to be doing great though (I'm knocking on wood). I'm sitting in the back seat with him and he's been taking turns looking out the window and then at me:-) John has been driving with the CC set at a nice cruising speed of 75 mph.

A road trip isn't a road trip unless you stop at a greasy fast food restaurant where your feet stick to the floor and you feel like you need to bathe when you leave!! We stopped at McDonalds and regrouped!

Um, can you say BED HEAD?!?!?!
