Easter 2013

I can not believe it's been three months since I've posted.  Since January 1st I've been wearing roller skates and feel as though there hasn't been a spare moment.  I love blogging so much, as it's going to be such a great thing for the boys to look back on when they're older, but it definitely took that back seat this season.  I have been so fortunate to have had my personal best season yet in terms of work.  The real estate market is on fire here.  I'm so incredibly happy with my partner, Amy, and our assistant, Kathy.  Going to work, although stressful because of the work load, is so fun... they're my second family and I'm so blessed.  So, although I've had to work, I've enjoyed it.  I can say with certainty, though, that I'm really looking forward to this summer, when things slow down, so I can spend some extra yummy time with the boys.

Speaking of yummy, Easter Sunday was SUCH a yummy day.  We woke up to Easter baskets and candy for breakfast and then off to the Vuko's house for brunch and an Easter egg hunt.  We did the same thing last year (click HERE to see how much the boys have changed) and I'm hoping this is the start of a tradition.  I love it so much!  It's always so fun getting the kids together and the Vuko's have such a beautiful home and an amazing spread of food... it's just such a comfortable, cozy environment and I so enjoy it.

Charlie and MJ made up for lost time and got their "crazy" on.

And the newest member to the Vuko clan is Jordan James (JJ) who is Tanya and Jordan's son.  Talk about a perfectly scrumptious baby... this kid is a knockout!  SO ADORABLE!

The kids always enjoy feeding "Ray", the Vuko's gigantic turtle!

Seeing Adrey and Devin together is so adorable.  They have so much fun together but we just don't see them very often.  My summer goal, Kara and Joanne, is to hang out more often with you and the kids... now that you're a teacher, Kara, it should be easier!

Time to hunt for EGGS!!

Charlie does. not. stop. talking.  And if you're not listening, he repeats himself over. and over. and over. until you acknowledge him!  He says everything... about 10% of it you can't understand and have to ask for clarification.  If you say "what?" enough, he just looks at you and says, "Come" and shows you.  Cutest. Thing. Ever.  And he's using the potty people!  It's been months since we've changed a poopy diaper.  Every morning he takes off his own diaper and sits on the potty and does his biz-ness!  And the kid would prefer to be bottomless (as in naked) all the time if he were allowed, so it's not uncommon to dress him and then find him naked from the waste down playing with his toys on the play room floor 10 minutes later!  He's starting to eat more things, he rides his bike like a champ and he's (KNOCK ON WOOD) sleeping until 6:15ish each morning (as opposed to the 5:00 am that he's been waking up since July 2012... that was a "phase" I'm not sorry to see come to an end).  He's perfect in every way.  Love him to pieces.

"Yook, Mommy, it's M&M's!"

Girls are getting SO big!!  The boys love the girls SO much.  It's so cute seeing them all play together!

Adrey is growing up so fast... seems to be right in front of our eyes.  He's loving school these days so much so that he'll say in the morning, "Mom, get dressed so we can go to school!"... a far cry from years past.  He's doing so well learning and really enjoys his friends.  He is SO extremely athletic... I feel certain he'll be good at whatever sports he chooses to do.  Soccer seems to be his interest now... and he can kick the ball FAR!  He's getting the cutest freckles on his nose and cheeks... I just want to eat him up.  He swims like it's no one's biz-ness too.  I'm not looking forward to seeing our electric bill this month because we pulled the trigger and turned the heat on and the boys have been swimming every day.  Gulp.  Hard to believe Adrey will be FIVE this summer.  Time goes way to fast.  Love this adorable age... I tell him all the time to stop growing, but he won't listen:-)

Checkin' the "loot" when the hunt was over!

After the Vuko's we headed home and put some last minutes touches on the Easter dinner preparations.  The whole family came over!

We had special guests this year... John's sister, Judee, and Mats and Max came down for the day (they are vacationing on Anna Maria Island for Spring break).  I absolutely adore that family and am so grateful they could come down for the day!!  Grandma/Nana just celebrated her 96th birthday in March... we are so blessed.

It was a PERFECT day.

And not to toot my own horn, but I'm super proud of my dessert on Easter Sunday...

I hope I'm officially BACK to blog land.  I plan to post some things from the 3 months period I was absent!  So be on the look out!  Lots of cute photos and videos I've been keeping from you!!  Please post a comment if you're still keeping up with the blog... would love to know who still loves me:-)

FINALLY!!!!!! I have been checking EVERY SINGLE DAY since your last post! I see the boys all the time so I don't notice how they've grown until I look at old pics. Crazy how much changes in just 1 year!!!!
