So, I'm pretty sure I slept walk in the night and drank warm milk with shards of glass mixed in it. Cuz THAT'S how bad my throat hurts today. Ugh. What a way to start a week. Better this week, though, than next because I'm home with my babes Thanksgiving week! Just a bit of randomness to post. Had a good couple weeks! Last weekend my family came over for pizza and to watch football. The kids got in our closet and put on a fashion show. Pretty cute stuff!
OK, so I'll own up to the boots, they're mine, but the dreads wig/hat combo... that's ALL John!! There's a fair in town right around the corner from us so we headed there on Thursday night. The kids had a ball!
Adrey wanted to ride the "Alligator" and we saw other kids his age on it so we said it was fine. He was the ONLY one on the ride and when it took off it jerked real quickly and then went pretty fast. He was holding on for dear life and I could tell he was nervous the whole time! But he was brave!
Charlie enjoyed it too! Lots of lights (and carnies:-) to entertain him the whole time. We went on the merry-go-round which he always enjoys and you can see HERE.
He even got to pet a bunny.
We were all getting ready to leave and we were all standing in front of this carnival game that involved a rope ladder suspended horizontally over a big blow up mattress (so to speak). The object was to get to the end of the ladder and you win a prize. Simple right? A couple others had tried it and I was SURE they were doing it wrong so I decided to give it a whirl. John said I'd last two steps. At least I beat THAT!! If you're so inclined, watch HERE.
Friday the boys, KK and Allison and the Michetti's (minus Mike) headed to the zoo. It was a GORGEOUS day on Friday... high in the mid 60's. HEAVEN I tell you! I hardly got my camera out because my attention was on four kids I was trying to keep track of at all times, but I DID manage to snap them feeding the giraffes! Very cool!!
And as we were getting ready to leave the zoo, we happened upon a safari wind machine. The kids all wanted to give it a try. KK did it first... click HERE to see. I don't know whose annoying kid that is in the background:-) For the record, KK asked Adrey to go with her and he said no!! And then ALL the kids went together... click HERE to see. Pretty fun! And I think the zoo managed to suck $10 out of us as we were trying to leave with their strategic placement of this wind machine!!
And just a total random... our very own SHREK....
As we get closer to Thanksgiving I am always reminded of all that I have to be thankful for. Two things being my boys. Big sigh... love them to pieces.
