Introducing the world's cutest monkey....
And I promise the tastiest and happiest banana you'll ever meet...
(not available at grocery stores)
Yes, I'm all about themes... and the fact that Adrey LOVES monkeys made this theme easy! Rochelle took these GREAT pictures of the boys! We had to do it in fast forward because Adrey can only handle the heat for short periods of time! Sooooo, in the 7 minutes that he was willing to wear the costume, Rochelle managed to get these incredible shots! Thank you ROCHELLE!!
Adrey and Mama (ok, mostly Mama) carved the pumpkins. I thought Adrey would be more interested in it, but he kept saying "bluck" when he saw the pumpkin guts! LOL!
Our finished products...
By the time I finished Adrey's name, I was kind of wishing we had named our kids Al and Jo....
Thursday Adrey's class had their Halloween party. I'm a room parent so I helped organize it and attended the party. I was so concerned that Adrey might be sad and clingy if I came, but he was the complete opposite! As sad as he gets when I leave him, I know he enjoys school and all the fun activities. Put school AND mommy together and he had his cake and ate it too! He was as happy as a clam!
It's so cute to see all the teeny tiny kids sitting in teeny tiny chairs at teeny tiny tables!
I love it!
Adrey is O-B-S-E-S-S-E-D with cookies these days. We don't use that term lightly around around our house unless we HAVE one to give him. Cuz as soon as he hears the word, he won't stop saying it until he gets one. The other day we were driving to a birthday party and Adrey asked for a cookie and I told him he could have one when we got to the party. For the next 45 minutes, Adrey sat in the car and said, "cooooookie.... cooooookie mama....... cooooookie.... daddy cooooookie". And you'd think when we got to the party that he'd forget once he saw all the kids and the toys, but nope, 5 minutes into it he wanted that cookie we promised him. I just assumed there would be cookies at the party, but there weren't. Ugh. On our way home we stopped at Chick-Fil-A to get him one and THEY didn't have any so we stopped at McDonalds where we finally got one! We were desperate for a cookie for the little man!!
Meet Adrey's Cindy Crawford pumpkin...
And Friday at school the kids had a Halloween parade. All the Pre-K classes dressed up. It was SO stinkin' cute!!
Oh the cheeks.
Holy. Cuteness.
And while we all went trick-or-treating on Sunday, Charlie stayed home and passed out candy.
KIDDING!
But doesn't he look so cute? And can you picture the kids walking up to him and him handing them their candy? Slipping the Almond Joys and KitKats in a cute little scarecrow's bag? I think about it and crack up and have to "peel" myself off the floor!
He is such a good sport!
The whole gang came over to our house for the festivities on Sunday. Unfortunately, Adrey was still sleeping when everyone arrived. I had to wake Adrey up so we could begin all the fun. He was NOT happy with that idea and that kind of set the mood for him the rest of the evening. That cute monkey costume? Yeah, glad Rochelle got those pictures ahead of time cuz that cute little costume stayed in the wagon the whole night... he wanted NOTHING to do with it. If I MENTIONED the word "costume" he'd scream "No oo-oo, No oo-oo" (oo-oo is the sound a monkey makes). But we had fun none-the-less.
I love the string of drool from Bella's mouth:-)
Katelyn was an adorable bumble bee!
Steve and Rene were SO AWESOME to bring their big truck towing a flat bed with hay in it and took all the kids (there had to be 50 of them) for a hay ride around the neighborhood! They loved it!
Our awesome driver, Steve!
And while the kids who DID enjoy the idea of wearing a costume and banging on strangers doors for candy went trick-or-treating, we set up camp in our driveway and passed out candy to the above said kids.
And when the candy bowl was empty we came inside for homemade chili and cornbread (cornbread compliments of Jen) and witnessed the children act like maniacs due to sugar consumption!
Sooooooo, our third annual "Adrey-in-his-costume-with-his-pumpkin" photo shoot didn't quite go as planned this year...
And poor Charlie was fast asleep so I didn't get his picture either...
Until next year I guess...
