Sunday was a very special day. Not only was it a super cool date in-and-of-itself (10/10/10) it was my beautiful friend Susan's baby shower. Susan and Brian are expecting their first baby, a boy, on January 30th. Baby Boyd was SHOWERED with gifts and love. The time, love and devotion put into the decorations and food was very evident.
Charlie was in attendance and I have to say, he was a BIG hit. I can't tell you how many times I heard, "Does he always smile that much?" and "He is such a good baby!"... and I have to admit, it never gets old hearing that. I try to remember to say thank you when people say things like that, but so often without thinking I say "I know" just because I totally agree, and then once the light bulb goes off, I follow it up with a "Thank you!".

I have a pretty good feeling, Susan, that you too will get caught up in the moment when people are gushing about your little one and you'll forget to say thank you every now and again!! It's one of the few times in life it's pretty much ok to forget! I can't wait for you to welcome your newest love into your lives. You and Brian will make remarkable parents. It's obvious the love you have for one another and how ready you are to share it with your growing creation.... you son has no idea how lucky he is (yet)!!
After the shower we all headed to the Naples Beach Hotel for one of the most beautiful sunsets I have witnessed in a VERY long time. Those pics to come tomorrow!!
