Pictureless post

Yes, it's a pictureless post because I can't keep my eyelids open long enough to post pictures!! I've got the toothpicks holding my lids up as it is!! Just wanted to share a few cute Adrey stories...
So, John has taken a shower with Adrey on a few occasions, and they were all successful experiences. So, Mommy decided to give it a whirl herself. I undressed Adrey, took off his diaper and then proceeded to start the shower. I turned around and Adrey was tinkling on the floor!! So, I found the nearest towel to sop it up and we started over!! We both got in the shower, got soaped up and Adrey pooped. Pooped on the shower floor. Yes. Three poops. On. The. Shower. Floor. Both soaking wet and sudsy, I stood there completely baffled as to what to do!! After cleaning up, we continued on with the shower, which ended with lots of laughs and smiles as the water trickled down on us!! An experience I won't soon forget and one I'll definitely be repeating (hopefully minus the tinkle and poopie parts)!!

Adrey has yet to sleep in our bed with us... not because we don't want him to, or won't allow it, but because he gets too excited in the bed and thinks it's "play time". There's no calming him down. Well, on Friday night I decided to try it out again. I brought Adrey in the bed with me (John was still watching TV), turned off all the lights, and pretended to sleep thinking that if I didn't talk or move, he would get the picture, and follow suit. Um wrong. I really should know better than that, but it was wishful thinking. Instead, he waited about 30 seconds and started tapping me on the arm. Getting no response, he proceeded to PLUG MY NOSE hoping to get a rise out of me. I did everything I could not to laugh. He then went on to poking my eyeballs in (pretty hard, actually). Still I didn't budge. Finally he'd had enough and gave me one solid whack me in the head! That just made me laugh hysterically (I know... I shouldn't laugh because what example am I setting, but seriously, how could I not laugh). He stayed in the bed with me for about 20 minutes until Daddy had to come taxi him back to his crib. That won't be my last attempt... I can assure you of that!!

Adrey says "hot" all the time and he's now getting a good idea as to when to say it. He now is associating it with things that are really hot! He made John and I smile from ear to ear the other day when John was ironing his shirt. Adrey walked past the iron and said "hot" and then BLEW (as you would do if the food you were eating was hot). Oh. My. Gosh. It was the cutest thing!! I replayed that moment in my head several times that day and it brought a smile to my face each and every time. He's such a sweet cookie.
Took Adrey to the zoo last Friday and got some great pics. Stay tuned... will post on a day that my eyes will cooperate.
