Since we've been back from Vegas, our little man has been such a snuggle-bunny. I have felt such an incredible bond this past week (never thought my bond with him could get stronger, but each day it seems to grow just a smidgen') with him and he's made me weak in the knees a couple times. Literally, weak in the knees. Sometimes I just peer around the corner at him, even if it's to witness him bend down and pick up a pile of dog hair and examine it closely or to sneak up on him "reading" a book. All these little things just make me so joyful.
"Monkey Buns" is one of our favorite names to call him and it's completely appropriate in this outfit that Gigi & Boppa gave him for Christmas.
Adrey's Aunt Jacqui from Michigan came to visit over the weekend. It was so wonderful seeing her. It's only once a year or so that we get to see her. I wish that Adrey had the opportunity to see John's side of the family more. Family is just the most important thing in the world and I want Adrey to know and experience the love from each and every one of them. We hope to make it up to Michigan this Spring before Baby Ritchey "the sequel" arrives as I think it'll be sometime before we're traveling as a pack of FOUR!!Adrey LOVES, LOVES, LOVES reading these days. It makes me SO happy! I never used to be able to get him to sit on my lap for more than 30 seconds... he had entirely too many things to do than to waste time sitting and reading! Boy have things changed NOW. Now he brings piles of books, plops down on our laps and is in for the long haul!! He can't get enough of them and all he wants to do is snuggle. THANK YOU (looking up into heaven) FOR THIS SPECIAL TREAT!! I'm hoping it's not a phase as I'm enjoying (and savoring) every little moment! He had Aunt Jacqui read a half a dozen books to him pointing out all the animals along the way!
Saturday night we headed to dinner with Aunt Jacqui, Jen, Mike and Billy. Adrey was a little fussy and not really wanting to be in the high chair. As soon as Billy and Mike arrived (sorry Jen, soon your name will follow, but for the time being it's just the MEN!!) he had a smile from ear to ear and was as happy as a clam!!

If things get too quiet in the house lately, and you start looking for Adrey, 99% of the time this is where you'll find him. Bless his little heart...
