We got up bright and early on Sunday morning to cheer on Uncle Kerry and Rochelle who both ran the Naples Daily News HALF MARATHON!! WHAT AN ACCOMPLISHMENT!! I am so impressed by the two of them and the other 2,000 runners who participated. Events like this ALWAYS make me a little emotional (I know, I know, what's new)... to know all of the training that these people put into this event and how tiring and painful it must be for them. KUDDOS to all you jocks!! We waited patiently to watch them cross the beloved finish line!
Kerry broke his record (this was his THIRD half marathon) and finished in less than 1 hour and 40 minutes!! Yahoooooooooooooooooo!!
Next to come in was ROCHELLE who ran it in just over 2 hours. You go girl!! And you could see those sexy legs from a mile away!!
We even got her to smile for the camera!
Adrey wasn't as interested in the event as he was his snacks!
And it was the PERFECT day for Adrey to wear his new rain coat and rain boots.
And he managed to seek out all the puddles and "play" in them.
Oh yes, and attempt to drink from them. I yi yi.
The boots evoked quite a few "oooohs and aaaahs" as I'm sure you can imagine!

Holy moly I'm tired just thinking of the 1/2 marathon. I did it a few times and let's just say my first time I ended up in the first aid tent! No lie. No joke. That was some tuff stuff!
Speaking of almost dying, those rain boots are to die for!!
