Mr. Clean

Adrey is quite a big help these days! He LOVES the dishwasher! And he loves to help load/unload... well, who am I kidding... he really just participates in the UNLOADING part!! I'll put a plate in and then he's right there ready to "help" take it out! Such a big boy!! Today I turned around, literally for a split second, to put the plates in the cupboard, and turned around to find our little monkey on top of the door!

Adrey is getting TWO molars right now. One on top and one on the bottom. He's been a trooper, although Tylenol has been his buddy lately. He woke up this morning after getting sick in his crib... it was the strangest thing. We went in to get him as usual and he was covered in throw up. He hadn't made a peep though... never cried or fussed or anything. We're not even sure how long ago it had happened. He seemed fine after getting him up and bathing him, although he didn't have an appetite. Poor shnoooks.
He's taking lots and lots of steps lately, and he cracks up when he does it. He gets the biggest kick out of it when you stand him up and let go... like he knows is such a big deal! Then he walks 6 or 7 steps and leaps into our lap! He's also doing this "mad face" which is absolutely hysterical... he lowers his head and looks up with super squinty eyes as if to say "What are you looking at?". Oh it's just so cute I could eat him up.
Every day he gets more of a personality and I'm just loving every bit of it. He makes me so happy. I often think, though, that when he gets older, he'll never remember these special moments that are happening now. These moments that he's so present in. These moments, that John and I are consumed with, that just bring us the most joy we've ever experienced, are things that Adrey won't remember! I'm glad that this blog will be something he can look back on and "relive" the times that have made our lives so much richer.
And, on a final note, I put a deal together at work today!! Just when I thought things would never start looking up. This job transition, all-be-it a wonderful opportunity, has been weighing on me heavily. Given the economy, I've been so stressed out, for fear that the business won't come. This transaction has reinspired me and I am more motivated than ever and am now cookin' with gas!! I'm also working with two wonderful clients, which always makes things so much easier, and my job enjoyable.
Ahhhhh, now it's time to kick the slippers off and watch some Oprah....
