Lots of fun things took place this weekend!! Friday night John, Adrey and I had dinner at Nana's house (my Grandma... Adrey's Great Grandma). We picked up CPK and then Grandma made apple crisp for dessert. SO YUMMY!! I had to work Saturday until about 2:30. John, Adrey and the Waynes went to the Great Venetian Duck Race at the Venetian Village. I met them there when I was done. It was a charity event to raise money for the new Children's museum being built here in Naples. You could "buy" a duck for $10 and then they dropped all the ducks in the Venetian Bay and they "raced". There were prizes for the winning ducks! It was a beautiful day. The first video is just a cute one of Adrey sneezing and then just peering into the camera. Such a cutie!!
After the duck race John, Adrey and I went to Campiello's and sat outside and had a late lunch/early dinner. It was SO nice... just being the three of us. I love that. When we got home, Katelyn texted me from her mom's phone asking if she could come over and sell us Girl Scout cookies! Of course I said YES!! The next video is Katelyn giving her "shpeel" (wow... not even sure how to begin tackling the spelling if that). I gave her a run for her money.... asking all the tough questions. I didn't want her to think that just because we're her aunt and uncle she didn't have to do the whole "routine"!! HA!
OH... MY... GOSH... are we proud of our brother-in-law, Kerry!!! Kerry ran a HALF MARATHON today! He finished in 1 hour 45 minutes! UNBELIEVABLE!! I got kind of emotional watching all the runners. What an accomplishment. He's been training for this and it sure paid off. He did awesome and we're so proud of him. GO KERRY!! The last video is of him crossing the finish line!!
