Soooooooo, LET ME EXPLAIN... I got to thinking while feeding Adrey last night, that I remember when Katelyn and Allison were babies and Sarah would feed them. So, I asked Sarah to root around and find me a couple pictures of them when they were babies eating. The one of Allison is truly classical!! OMG she had such a big head and she had to wear a helmet to correct the shape! Poor babe! When Sarah would feed them, I vividly remember thinking, "Oh my gosh, babies are so messy. Food is everywhere! I am such a neat, CLEAN, person, how will I ever do it?". I thought that if I had a baby that I would wipe his/her mouth after each bite and make sure his/her hands didn't get into the food.... Yeah, well.... Things TOTALLY change when you have your own baby and it's so FUN to feed them and see them enjoying and experiencing FOOD just like we eat!! I couldn't care LESS about the mess! I've always enjoyed bottle feeding Adrey, it's such an intimate experience when his eyes just lock into mine and he reaches up and his hands touch my face. I love it. But I thoroughly enjoy feeding him solids too, and just get such fulfillment out of the fact that he's enjoying all these yummy, healthy foods!

We now have our OWN zucchini clad baby!!

He's got the whole rice cereal and oatmeal down, and he LOVES bananas! Adrey's Great Grandma, Nana, made Adrey homemade applesauce (without sugar) and his face was HYSTERICAL when he took the first bite! It was a bit tart but he ended up really enjoying it! This week we're on to zucchini and LOVES it! We do the old "airplane into the hanger" technique when feeding him and he thinks it's great! He opens right up!!

I think we'll try summer squash next week!!
