So many things to report on!! Adrey had his 4 month appointment yesterday. It's hard to believe he's 4 months already. Wow. He weighs 16 pounds 8 ounces (75th percentile) and is 26.75 inches long (90th percentile)!! He's doing AWESOME!! The doctor says he can now start eating "solids"! We're going to try rice cereal this weekend. I'll let you know how it goes! Adrey had to get 3 shots yesterday:-( The doctor said to massage the areas where he got the shots every couple hours so that it doesn't get "hard". I changed his diaper yesterday and started massaging his legs... Adrey started CRACKING UP! I must have hit a tickle spot and he was in hysterics. Then I was in hysterics and we just kept feeding off each other and were having a riot! SO FUNNY! Something else funny.... whenever I change Adrey's diaper, I put the wet wipe on his bum and I sing this cheesy song.... goes something like this.... "Wipey, wipey, wipey on your bummy, bummy, bummy.... Wipy, wipy, wipy on your bummy, bummy, bummy"... The lyrics are very deep, I know, but he loves it. Anyway, he now must be used to me doing that because yesterday I put the wipe on his bum, but didn't start singing right away, and then I looked at him. He paused and then got the biggest grin on his face in anticipation of "the song"!! Again, I cracked up! I manage to put a tune to anything. Poor baby has to listen to me sing all the time!!
My friends, Kara and Andy, had a baby girl yesterday!! They lovingly welcomed Alexis Lynn Schaps into the world at 9:03 a.m. Alexis weighs 6 pounds 14 ounces and is 18 inches long. Just a weeeeee little thing! Such a precious babe. Alexis has an older brother, Devin, who is 16 months old. Congratulations Andy and Kara! We love you and are so happy for you!

Last night was our CHRISTMAS PARTY! It was such a blast!! We've been preparing for it for over a month now and I've been a nervous wreck trying to get everything done! It couldn't have gone smoother! There were about 30 people that came.

John and I couldn't have done it without the help of Stephanie Eddy. Stephanie is a friend of ours that takes care of our pooches when we're away. She's also a server/bartender at a nearby country club. I asked her if she'd bartend the party. Well, she bartended and did SO much more. She was such a huge help!!

My sister and I made appetizers, we had Olive Garden cater the dinner (John picked the food up and brought it home) and then I made the desserts. I made the peanut butter hershey kiss cookies (see yesterday's post:-) and a "peanut butter pie tree" (instead of doing a whole peanut butter pie I put the pie filling in little cups with an oreo cookie on top, and then put the cups on the table in the shape of a Christmas tree). Big hit!!

I didn't tell the guests before arriving, but this party included a SCAVENGER HUNT!! I was wondering if people would think it was dumb, but it turned out to be a HUGE success!! I prepared a list of items that each group had to get by knocking on people's doors in our neighborhood. The only rules were that they couldn't leave the neighborhood and I strongly encouraged them NOT to knock on a door that had a police car in the driveway (lots of cops live in the neighborhood)!! There were lots of FUNNY things on the list!! The hunt turned out to be a HUGE SUCCESS and the teams really got into it. They were so competitive! It was a riot! The teams had 35 minutes to do it, and during that time, John, Stephanie and I cleaned up the appetizers and put out the Olive Garden entrees. Gave us time to regroup. When the teams came back they were hooten' and hollerin' all claiming they were the "winners"!! I had everyone eat and then I announced the winners.
Introducing the first place team, with 158 points.... Jen, Mike, Billy, Rochelle, Sara, Chris, Jamie, Ben and Sara!! Way to go team!! All couples won a "Hancock" DVD!! Enjoy!

The second place team with 124 points... Jason, Ryan, Jill, Sam, Stephanie, Joe, Erin and Anthony. Yay team!

And the third place with a measly 122 points... Chris, Traci, Sarah, Kerry, Minka, Tim, LeeAnn and Kevin! Maybe next year guys:-)

Speaking of next year, the party was such a success that we've decided to make this an annual holiday scavenger hunt party!! SO FUN!!

Adrey is getting to be a big boy! Ashton is growing by the day. We had his 2 mos. visit last week and he's catching up--10 lbs 10 oz. and 22 1/2 in. and moving up in the to 25 perc. and 30 perc. which is much better than he was. I am truly jealous of your Thanksgiving getaway. It looks like you had an amazing time. Looking forward to more cute pics!!
