2nd Annual "Very Mitchey Christmas" at Disney!

(Disclaimer:  All photos in this post taken with cell phone!)

We'd been planning our Christmas trip to Disney with the Michetti's since August...
reservations for dinner in "Mexico"... CHECK,
reservations for dinner in "Italy"... CHECK,
hotel reservations... CHECK

What we didn't plan on is BOTH boys getting sick the day we were leaving!  Charlie woke up on the wrong side of the crib, which is not usual, but I thought maybe he was just a little grumpy (hey, it happens to the best of us!).  I dropped the boys off at school that morning because Adrey had a class party and Santa was coming to visit so I didn't want him to miss that and I had two appointments to go to.  When I kissed Charlie goodbye his forehead felt warm.  I asked his teacher to take his temperature and sure enough, he had a 100 degree fever.  Poor guy.  So, I brought him with me to my two appointments because babies need their mommies when they're not feeling well:-)  He ended up being much like a wet noodle all morning and slept on my chest most of the time.  We picked Adrey up from school at 11:30 and he was totally fine.  We get in the car, leave the parking lot and it was MELT DOWN CITY.  I mean a tantrum that came out of NO WHERE and for NO REASON AT ALL.  When we got home, he said his ear hurt.  UH OH.  That explained why he was so cranky.  Poor nugget.  We were supposed to leave two around 12:30 but we ended up taking both boys to the doctor so we could nip anything they might have had in the bud.  They were both very well behaved at the doctor's office... John too:-)

We left the doctors office with an ear infection (Adrey) and a viral infection (Charlie). Two prescriptions later, a bag of sun chips to snack on and a burger and fries for John... we were on the road headed to see Mickey!  Both boys napped much of the way. When we reached Interstate 4 (an hour from Disney) there was bumper to bumper traffic and it was 5:30. We had a dinner reservation in Epcot for 7:30 and still had to go to the hotel. I was sweatin' it! At about 6:00 Adrey said he had to go to the bathroom. UGH! We introduced peeing in a cup to Adrey. Oh boy. He stood up between the seats and did his business... preeeeeeetty sure he thought that was the coolest thing next to Toy Story III!!
We arrived at Disney only to find a Christmas Wonderland (even though it was 75 degrees outside).  Lights, ornaments, trees, decorations, bows, ribbons, music... it was wonderful!

Friday night we had dinner at Mexico... both boys fell asleep in the restaurant on one of our laps.  Poor babes.  They were so sleepies and you could tell they just weren't themselves.  Saturday morning we headed to breakfast and Adrey seemed to get a second wind!  Then we were off to Magic Kingdom where we were greeted with a parade (yes, just for us) and Mr. Incredible, Woody and Jesse (to name a few) were the highlights for Adrey!!  Then we hit the rides!

Man, does Adrey have some serious cheeks or what?

And an award winning smile!

Adrey LOVES Billy.  Adrey LOOOOOOOVES Billy.  Did I mention Adrey LOVES Billy?  He was right by his side whenever possible.  So cute.

We must have done the CAROUSEL 5 times in a row.  And not only did Adrey see Woody in the parade, we stumbled upon him in Frontier Land too.  And Adrey got to meet him.  Click HERE to see the introduction.  You can't hear the video, but when Woody starts jumping backwards, it's because Adrey said to Woody, "You've got a snake in your boot"!

Saturday night we went to Italy for dinner where Adrey was a total goofball!

Sunday we headed to Hollywood Studios.  We hit the car show and did the back lot tour.  When we got on the bus to do the back lot tour, it was me, Billy and Adrey in one row of the bus.  We all went to the far left of the bench seat.  Adrey told us to get up and move to the right side because "there's fire and water and we'd get wet"... the kid remembered that on this ride there's a part where there's fire and water and he even remembered which side of the bus it would be on!  We were there over two months ago!  What a smart cookie!  After Hollywood Studios we headed to the Boardwalk to grab some lunch.  Charlie slept for over two hours while we were at the park.  When we got to the Boardwalk he just wasn't himself.

He was not a happy camper so we decided to forgo the late lunch we had planned and decided to hit the road early.  Aaaaaaaaaand Charlie cried 2/3 of the way home.

LOVE DISNEY WORLD!
It was a "Very Mitchey Christmas" indeed!!
