Charlie was baptized on Sunday, March 20, 2011. It was really very special. Aunt Judee and Uncle Mats (Mats was not here) are Charlie's Godparents so the 4 of us, plus a thousand church members, welcomed little Charlie into the Christian world.
Adrey and his iPhone made it onto the stage. Adrey was as quiet as a mouse (shocking!) just observing. When we were up in front of the church, Adrey saw his music teacher who's in the choir and he got so excited!!
Charlie couldn't have been more relaxed and chill during the whole event. Pastor Ted has a long history with our family... he was the officiant at both Sarah and our wedding, he baptized the Wayne girls and both our boys, he was the pastor at my Aunt's and my Grandma's funerals. He's been around, and we like and respect him very much. He walked Charlie down the aisle so everyone in the congregation could see him. I was the biggest, proudest Mommy on stage. I was beaming (and crying), knowing that was OUR Charlie that all those people were smiling and ooohing and aahhing over. It is a feeling I will never forget and one I feel often!
I love this picture of Judee and Charlie....
Just a funny side note.... While getting ready for church I was concerned my dress might be too low cut. I asked Judee if she thought so, because sexy was NOT the look I was going for at my son's baptism! She assured me I was fine, but I was still a little self-conscious. Anyhoo, so we're on our way to the church and I realized I forgot my wedding rings. A couple minutes later I looked down and noticed I still had green toenails from St. Paddy's Day. I immediately started thinking that people were going to think I was some sort of stripper mama who had Charlie out of wedlock. Yes, these are the kind of stupid things I worry about!! Sooooooo, I borrowed Sarah's wedding rings for the service! LOL!

You are too funny! If members of your congregation were staring at your (maybe)low cut dress and/or toes or checking to see if you were married or not...THEY would not be acting very Christian like would they?! LOL :) Congrats to Charlie and beautiful pictures of a beautiful ceremony! xoxo
What sweet pictures! I love Charlie's deer in the headlights adorable eyes like he's always looking for the next party to hang out at with his fam! Love Adrey's hat too!
